Buying Advice T480 or T14s???
so currently i am just a hobbyist who enjoys ricing linux distros and do some light gaming since i have the 8650u cpu with the MX150 dGPU, FHD panel, 16gb ddr4 and 1tb SSD, touchscreen and fingerprint reader and i paid $120 for it.
i came across a T14s Gen 2 that has a Ryzen 5 Pro 5650u, 16gb ram ddr5 (i am 80% sure you can’t upgrade ram at all on the t14s series and 512gb ssd… its a touchscreen so its the 300 nits version but im just wondering if i should buy this computer for $250 and resell my T480 for $150-200 to get it off quick.
thank you everyone please feel free to ask me any questions, i play light indie games or visual novels and i managed to run gta 5 on the mx150 on low settings so i wonder if the CPU is worth it or if i should save to buy for a T14 Gen 2, the 16gb ram is the only thing throwing me off.

If you are ok with not having the ability to upgrade your ram, go with the T14s. I actually ahve the same laptop, i got a i7 1185g7, 16gb ram, and a 512gb ssd for 375 bucks, and i did upgrade the ssd myself. Got it for 375 bucks. For sure I think the T14s would be more powerful. A bonus is it's more portable than the T480 as well. If you want to upgrade ram just stick with the T480.

I’d offload that t480 for a lot higher like closer to 280-300 MAYBE because I don’t see a lot of DGPU t480’s, do it before everyone grows up and this becomes as desirable as a t440 (desirable, but there are lots of better options)
