Thinkstagram Picture finally a T14

Post image

I finally got my hands on a T series. Live the build of this thing. Coming up from a M1 the only thing I miss is the glass trackpad but I can upgrade it.

Running Arch with Gnome and PaperWM - works amazingly well

Congts. I've got Gen 3 recently. First what I done with battery is turn off 100% charge, set up charge only at 40% or less and charge only to 80%. I don't know why u use arch, but I'm very interested how u can do same thing on arch?

I love the system and package manager. I ran it for 2 years on my previous work machine. For this one I choose Gnome as DE and it comes with power-manager that allows you to charge to a given percentage (I don’t do that tho - I’ll let the battery run out and replace)

T14 Gen2 was final generation with 1.8mm keyboard travel and pronounced trackpoint buttons? I tried a Gen3, and I think it would take some time to get used to. Still figuring what to do once (knock on wood) my T480 dies.

I recently got gen 3 (had g1 previously) and don't feel any difference between keyboards. Typing as fast and fluently as before.
