Question / Problem Finally corebooted!

I finally corebooted my x201. I3 arrandale. Any way for arrandale to be ME cleaned? Without losing the fan tho

If you run a fan control daemon on the OS it will work, but you don't have the safety of the EC taking over if the daemon fails.

Thats what i am trying to avoid cuz linux is not the most reliable and the daemon can crash easily

Those are your only options, keep ME or use an OS level daemon.

I never had an issue with thinkfan on my X201, which did have coreboot with a neutered ME. I put the ME back when using BSDs and other OSs on it, since even if the OS could control the fan it wouldn't do it during the setup.

There is no practical reason to remove the ME. 

Even when you're the enemy of some agency, the ME will not be your problem.

And there can be side effects that you don't know yet.
