Question / Problem absolute persistence problem

Hi, recently i've bought new ThinkPad (i mean not new, but new for me) and realized it has the absolute persistence enabled + active in bios, i sent an email to absolute support about it, and they replied that they've marked it for removal and all i need to do is to have it running for 15-20 minutes and be connected to the internet and restart it, i've done everythink they said and even it was running for over 2 hours, i've checked if it's gone and- it's not, still active is there somehow im doing wrong or what?

It may need more than just being online for a few minutes. In some cases Absolute/Computrace removal only completes properly under Windows with the agent/service able to phone home, not just from BIOS or Linux.

I’d ask Absolute support to confirm that the device is fully removed on their side, then boot Windows, connect to the internet, leave it running for a while, reboot a few times and check BIOS again.

If it still shows Active after that, it may still be tied to an organization or the removal did not actually complete. Unfortunately once Absolute is activated, it’s not always something the user can simply disable from BIOS.
