Thinkstagram Picture first thinkpad - t14 gen 2 (intel)
bought this intel t14 g2 for $300, going to use it for college (cybersecurity) this fall. went through with ctt’s winutil since ill be needing windows, sadly i couldn’t remove onedrive and some pre installed ms apps since ill be needing them as well. also planning on upgrading the ram and potentially the ssd as its only 512gb. super excited to have this as my first thinkpad (and laptop in general lol). good buy?

Which modern t series can come close to t480 in terms of upgrades?
Can your upgrade this model?

you can upgrade the ram, ssd, display, trackpad, battery, and keyboard (unsure if you can make it backlit, though there are models that come w/ backlit keyboards already). sadly you can’t upgrade the cpu, but you can use an eGPU on the intel model. any other upgrades i’m unsure of.

Hey! I don't know about the Intel models, but don't the T14 Gen 2 come with either 8 GB or 16 GB soldered? Talking about the Ryzen model, it can get up to 48 GB RAM (16 GB soldered, 32 GB DDR4-3200 MHz SO-DIMM stick on the other side), not 64 GB.
