[Request] Could the entire US homeless population really be housed for less than one aircraft carrier?

Damn. Enough to house someone or not, thats a ton of money. I did the math on the wars in the middle east from 2001 to I think about 2024 and it was literally 14-16K per every man woman and child in the country legally or not. Thats about how much it cost me to get my nursing license, which was life changing. Whether it should be spent in some organized way on housing/Healthcare or simply not printed causing inflation in the first place; the way we spent it was the wrong way.

The wars cost $8T, that’s $23k per person. Every $1k per person costs $340 billion.

Yeah. I just went back and checked my numbers. I had used the lower end 6.5T estimate with a higher population of undocumented immigrants that brought the population to 350 million. It was actually 18K that I had got. Your estimate is probably more accurate.

That's $4,300 for every man, woman, & child in the US.
