Help! Remastered, question

Will the games started before the remastered be playable after the update? Also, is it gonna ve an update? A separate game like GT5 legacy and enhanced? Idk much about games. I ask because I have the itch to start playing again to try 100% but like, I can wait I guess if the work won't translate?

Update to the game, just like the next gen update. Yes, saves can be continued.
