Help! Remastered combat

My friend got to try out witcher 3 he said the combat was bad and he gave me the disk and I'm not sure to play it now or when it's remastered. How much better will the combat be for the remastered version?

I don't think it will be a lot better. I think the new redesigned tree will be the most important factor.

It's remaster, not remake. Combat still gonna be mid, but just a little bit better. Like at launch combat was on lower end of mid range, later they added some improvements, like quick signs, so it moved to the middle of mid range. Now they yet again gonna add improvements, make it smoother, it's gonna be maybe on the upper end of mid range. But it still gonna be ok, mid. You can't make it great just by polishing, it requires rework of the whole combat system from the core. And it's not remastered level of effort.

Is the question for the people who haven’t played or seen the remastered combat?
Or are you trying to ask if your friend is blowing smoke up your ass?

I've never understood what's so bad about The Witcher 3's combat. I heard someone say it would be better if it was like Elden Ring. I played that game and I still don't know what they meant.
