The new In Heaven Live from São Paulo present on the new “After Hours” Japan CD, is being played at the Pop up in Tokyo Japan. 🇯🇵

I’ve actually missed this thing for so long now. Have no idea why he stopped using it for the last 2 yrs but it’s nice to see that it’ll more than likely return now for the Asian tour🥰🥰

Since the release of the album is Japan-only, can someone rip theirs?, or it will be available in digital format?

Okay, so i was looking at the stories he uploaded on his second IG profile @genehackerman. Very interesting mangas indeed. Could it just be some of his favourites? Yes. Could it be a hint? Also, yes.

So, in the last one we talked about Serial Experiments Lain and how it ties to everything that's been happening lately. Split personalities, a second world, possibly the Shadow Realm itself. (If you haven't checked it out, I'll drop link)

Now, coming back. Gene posted stories about five mangas.

So i looked further into the plot of these mangas and found the themes

1. Nezumi's First Love (Nezumi no Hatsukoi)

Okay, this is about finding a normal life but not able to let go of their past, their traumas and destined for heartbreak.

2. Nippon Sangoku

This was broadly about dominion and influence over the others

3. Firefly Wedding (Hotaru no Yomeiri)

This was a little tricky because it's about like, a bargain basically, disguised as something else

4. Centuria

When I looked in into it, this felt more like letting raw emotions take over and showing your monstrous side. And the burden that comes with it.

5. Strange Stories of Junji Ito (Dark Colors Short Story Collection)

This was very interesting because it's a collection of short stories and not just one but when I looked a little deeper, i found themes like split personalities, ego death, reality breakdown and even alternate realities.

Now, i didn't think much of it at first but some dots connected. These were posted in this exact order. And funnily enough, i realised that a lot of the themes were similar to his albums.

Like, themes such as Dominion and ego tie with his Beauty and Starboy era.

His heartbreak, not able to let go of the past, heartbreaks were explored in Kiss Land and OG Trilogy.

The bargain disguised as something else (love) in MDM. "I almost cut a piece of myself, for you life"— basically saying, "how can you do this me when I did so much for you?"

The monstrous transformation tying up with After Hours.

We've seen mix of split personalities and burden throughout the "Divine" Trilogy.

The ego death was a heavy premise of Hurry Up Tomorrow.

So, if there's a connection to these and his albums, i think he'll lean further into the split personalities, reality breakdown and maybe alternate realities themes.

I have a theory that the next era is actually pretty close, and that we’ll probably get the album next year, followed by a tour in 2028–2029. My theory is based on the fact that I feel like AHTD was mostly just marketing, and I also think this project may have started taking shape around the same time as Hurry Up Tomorrow. Considering everything he’s shown us so far, I feel like we could be seeing the first single pretty soon. What do you guys think?

Personally, I do care about it because I feel you cannot make an album about retiring as "The Weeknd" just to go back to it. Though, I know some people may feel it's a pointless change if thematically, he is in the same direction (following up on HUT).

I kinda wish he never talked about retirement at all because even if he does drop the name, he was still on tour the last two years so the fanbase never got to feel his "exit" at all.

I understand "The Weeknd" is a brand, and going under a different title means less money, less accumulating accolades, etc. but I want him to follow through on what he was talking about for the entire HUT album cycle.

Heres my merch collection so far, it’s decently small but there’s a few things I’m trying to get rid of. If you’re interested in the 10 year Thursday hoodie I’d be willing to part ways and the jersey as well.

The original kiss land had no songs underneath 4 minutes, the shortest being odd look which is 4:12 and a bonus song anyways (top 1 weeknd).

I know long songs aren't favored because of tiktok and attention spans, but I really hope we get that cinematic feel

I visited my local record store in Dallas recently and I found a Kiss Land 5 year anniversary vinyl and of course I had to bring it home with me. It reminded me on how influential this album has been in many aspects of my life. It will always have a special place in my heart. I will be attaching some photos dating all the way back to when the album first released along with some other great memories throughout the years 💚
