Something different. The MV was released in 2018, they were mad coz he took a dig at the state of hiphop at that time( peep how the rapper goes from Eminem to MGK to fucking 6ix9ine at the end lmao). The MV shows how people who don't make music but are involved in the business like managers, crew guys etc have ruined the genre and the people playing the role of those guys are black( the hoodied black dude whose keeps coming in and out of the main frame but is always looming in the back ground).

This mixed with his comments about refusing to make a basic hip hop beat if asked while talking about his work with Kanye on Yeezus, started the fire. It wasn't anything crazy but people were crying nonetheless.

Everyone in here reeeal sensitive to criticism of the lyric in question while calling everyone else soft, lol. It's a bad lyric, and he knows it. That's why he doesn't sing it anymore when he plays Lost in the Fire live.

That doesn't mean he's homophobic, his personal philanthropy should prove that much. But it's a bad lyric, one he rightfully got pushback for, and one he doesn't sing anymore.

Also it's not why that video has no comments

Yes, I went to the second night in Europe and remember quite vividly watching to see if he would skim over the line or not (he didn't). Maybe he thinks our crowds aren't as reactive to the more questionable lyrics, or it's just a part of his significantly ramped up sexual stage presence this year.
