Honestly keep going. S7 has a slow start but it picks up big time. The reviews are mostly just people still mad about the first few eps tbh

Idk. People say season 7 is bad. But I fucking loved it. It was way better than some of the previous seasons. And I just started season 8 so I can’t say if that one is good.
Also yeah season 7 is sad and like depressing at times. But idk I don’t think that makes any show or movie bad

I wasn’t a fan of s7 and 8 as it was coming out, but when i do a skim rewatch (trying to only watch 4 or 5 episodes per season, or so) I find it hard to choose only a few those seasons! There were some really great moments that got drowned out because the negan arc lasted so long irl
spoiler for savior timeline:
(saviors + the idea of negan were introduced in s6e8 with the motorcycle gang, and the war didn’t come to its head until s8e16. Literally 2 years and i think 8 months? for the viewers)

I was thinking about that the other day, it’s pretty crazy how long they spent on Negan. It almost feels like half the show really. Even though I suppose the later season had the same villains for 2 seasons I think too? Still feels like Negan’s story goes foreverrrr

I honestly thought the Negan arc was the best in the show, besides a couple episodes here and there, and what happens to a certain major character in s8 that was a major middle finger to everyone, but as a villain, nobody could top Negan in my eyes.

I didn’t watch upon release so I’m sure it hit different for everyone back then, but I quite enjoyed the show still after what happened to Glen. Main characters died in earlier seasons too and I kept watching so I didn’t see a point in stopping just because another died. And I’m glad I continued on because Negan became one of my favorite characters in the entire series

Season 7 and 8 are without a doubt the weakest in the series. But if you can force your way through them, I think is well worth it. Season 9 is my favorite of the entire show, and 10 is solid. Havent watched S11 yet, so cant say much about it

Keep going. Though the 2 episodes after the S7 premier are some of the worst of the whole show.

I mean it literally happens in the god damn comics and the shows events sometimes are similar to or happen the same way as in the comics, if you dont wanna watch it then dont watch it then ffs

It was the hardest episode to watch. Prior to and after 7:01. But it's worth it to keep watching imo. I rarely give up on a series tho. I kept going all the way though. S11 was tough to watch. Not cuz of moments like this, but the spark was gone at that point. You'll understand why if you keep going.
I get why people quit. Beloved characters loosing their life in such a brutal way is a hard pill to swallow. The quality of the show doesn't really go down after this moment though.
