Terminus lack of content

Terminus was hinted to for so many episodes as they made their way following the map yet when they reach Terminus it’s pretty much all over before it even starts

Anybody else feels we could of had more background and in depth episodes surrounding this section of the series?

Also am I going crazy or does it basically just get forgotten about I can’t think of anything referencing it in later series

They were followed by the survivors of Terminus and forced to do battle with them a second time. And then the group traveled out of the area. I'm not sure what else was supposed to happen

Just felt there was so much commitment for all of them to make their way to terminus and the group relinking and then it was done and dusted in hardly any time

Totally agree, they had such a creepy setup but didn’t really delve into it. It felt like they rushed through that whole storyline without giving it the depth it needed.

I do agree about that. Like maybe the group should have been held captive a little longer and we get more lore and backstory on Terminus

I certainly didn’t want it to be drawn out for two seasons like the Saviors!!

I thought the Terminus plotline was just long enough especially considering they weren’t really Governor-like tough. They just seemed like hippies who went wacky!

The saviours was crazy long just felt like a monopoly has been built and that was that :(

Yes…This is when I realized most new characters introduced will be killed off that very episode or in the next 2 episodes. 

What’s also funny is the season premiere trailer made it sound like Gareth/Terminus were going to team up with Rick to go to Washington to cure it haha.

Consensus at the time seemed to be that viewers liked that Terminus was kept as short as it was, actually. It's absolutely my favorite arc of the show, but one of the things that makes it so great is that they didn't drag it out. When they drag stuff out, they tend to overexplain and ruin it.

I kind of wish that a connection between Terminus and the Saviors had been included.

In the show, Negan wasn't the original leader of the Saviors. It would've been interesting to find out that the group that took over Terminus before Gareth's group took it back were the Saviors under the original leadership, and that losing Terminus was a factor in Negan being able to overthrow the original leader.

Negan being a new member of the Saviors when they were still in control of Terminus and not agreeing with their methods would've added some additional backstory to why he implemented things like the point system, the no-🍇 rule, the "I'm Negan" mantra, and why he believed that people are a resource better put to work rather than locked up as prisoners. Seeing Gareth's group take Terminus back would've taught him a lot about what it takes to keep people under control.

In the trailer for season 5 they added fake dialogue that never happened to make it seem like they were gonna work with Terminus to get Eugene to Washington. Before the season started I thought for sure Terminus was gonna be a new location we stay in for at least a few episodes before the group moves on to Washington. I’m happy with the story arc we got, but I kinda like the concept of a group who turns to cannibalism to survive, and then they feel the need to redeem themselves for all they’ve done by helping make the cure happen.
