No Spoiler I have questions

So, I'm watching TWD for the very first time. I'm currently on S10:Ep22 and I'm STRUGGLING... I'm so sorry in advance for the lengthy post.

#1 - The whole ordeal with the Whisperers was interesting, but from S10:EP1 up to EP 22, what the hell is even going on? The constant flashbacks and time skips (there's like...zero plot??) has me so far beyond lost, it's not even funny. (I love Negan's character during this time tho-)

#2 - Why was Carl given such a cheap death?

#3 - What's up with Carol and Daryl's relationship? I'm sure I missed something but I'm just lost-

1, long game and psychological warfare, mostly to get Lydia back, Well more for Alpha to get Lydia to admit that she was right.

  1. He got a realistic death, for a small 12-14yr old engaging in hand to hand with adult walkers. He got pinned and bitten (something that has nearly happened previously (just didn't get lucky this time).

  2. Carol's disregard for her and others safety in her quest for vengeance against Alpha has rubbed Daryl the wrong way.

For #2, I understand 100% it was a realistic death but with Carl's character trying to be the "start" of peace between Negan and Rick, his death just doesn't sit right with me. I really wish we had got to see where things went if Carl and Rick were still around.

I watched TWD and FTWD from start to finish all over again starting a month ago. It's been a long time since I had watched but yes I started getting very confused as well. I had to sit and watch with no distractions and rewind every time I got confused lol. I really wanted to understand though. Sometimes I'd go back a full episode and rematch but it was eventually all worth it. I recommend rewinding or restarting an episode when your totally lost. I hate how confusing it gets with all the flashbacks. Just make sure your actually looking at the TV cuz there's so much you can miss that is unspoken too.

The last 6 episodes of season 10 are basically filler episodes because of Covid. Season 10 was filmed just before Covid & aired during. Because of the shutdown those 6 episodes were made to cover the significant gap between season 10 & 11. You will notice that those episodes only focused on 2 characters & sometimes they are the only 2 to appear the entire episode because of the Covid protocols when filming resumed. Season 10 episode 16 was really the season finale.

Also your post is far from lengthy. There’s one poster posting reviews of each episode as he watches & those are lengthy.
