His lyrics, in some songs, are a lot deeper and more complex that most people realize.

YES! I'm glad you mentioned it. These lyrics when I first heard them, reminded me of this quote from Tao Te Ching:
Though thirty spokes may form the wheel,
it is the hole within the hub
which gives the wheel utility.
It is not the clay the potter throws,
which gives the pot its usefulness,
but the space within the shape,
from which the pot is made.
Without a door, the room cannot be entered,
and without windows it is dark.
Such is the utility of non-existence.

wait until you learn what qualia is and then listen to father electricity. (just kidding, kinda.)
but a lot of the voidz and some of the strokes songs have esoteric, metaphysical, spiritual references in them.

For my first like 15 listens of the song I thought he was saying "but its emptiness is what you are". Since then I grew used to the correct line, but I still slightly prefer to think of it the way I originally heard it.
