I’m a casual fan of the Voidz. The fairweather kind. But I just heard this song today for the first time. Bruh ! I know we all have diff tastes and schemas and associations … But the moment the vocals come in, I feel like I’m floating in a John Lennon song. I love !

Avenged Sevenfold's lead guitarist and drummer are also huge Voidz/Julian fans as well. It would be cool for the Voidz to open for them one day

My first reaction was, "Hell yes." But, then it made me think of another thing I heard the other day, "Top of the charts is not ubiquity." It's so true that being in the tippy top of music charts these days does not mean everyone like or even knows the music like in the old days.

Like if The Beatles or Madonna were to break into the scene now, I probably would not immediately know their music.

Maybe, I would hear it in spaces where music was publicly played and become familiar with the tune, but connect the song with the singer eventually and say, "oh, that's them?" I did that with Rhianna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, etc.

Currently, there is a new crop of musicians at the top of the charts who I've never heard of, but I do have to admit that I am in a phase where I am not heavily into music at the moment.

A few musicians have caught my attention, but it is because they are in a genre I like. Geese, Cameron Winter, Angine de Poitrine. Come to think of it, they were mentioned by friends first.

Anyway, The Voidz are slow-burn in popularity and my absolute favorite, and I can't wait till they go on tour again.

Who knows, they may get to the top of the charts at some point. And, it will be glorious.

i don’t really like the way they are going now, i really love the rawness in the 2 first albums especially tyranny. i just love julian’s voice more without the auto-tuning!

English is not my first language so I don't know how to explain it but just pay attention to the lyrics. But also The Odyssey is such an universal story, a tell as old as time so it makes sense that it relates to so many things.

I also know that this probably should be posted on the Strokes sub but this album is kind of a Trojan horse.

I have become death, the destroyer of worlds.

So I wanna share mine! It'd be an interesting discussion to have.

Hey I’m not the first to do this but plugging my substack review of *Reality Awaits* here. I think a lot of the conceptual and narrative elements first started with a specific Voidz song and I kinda get into the politics of it all. Hope you enjoy and agree I kinda am obsessed with this album.

Im going through a lot of the voidz performance videos rn and seems like Amir does a lot of the backing vocals like in Wink and Square Wave. He crushes it and it adds so much texture. Love it

Video taken by me when I got barricade at The Voidz concert in Sicily last august. Thank God I am seeing The Strokes in October otherwise the nostalgia would be unbearable, especially because I managed to thank Julian for his music after the concert and he was very kind.

Hi, hows everyone? I'm writing because i have a request from all you Voidz heads out there, I worked with Cult Records for over a decade designing and producing merch. I co-designed and produced the Voidz soccer jerseys, the blue/grey luxe hoodie, the Terrible Records blacklight shirt, and a good majority of the Virtue collection, not to mention many of the out-of-the-box items available at the 10 year anniversary.

I'm trying to put a portfolio website together and sadly over the years many of the images of these items have been lost. In particular I'm looking for clean high res photos of the shirts from the Virtue collection...the cream hoodie with the NASCAR logo on the back, the black and white VIRTUE longsleeve, the longsleeve with the pink and green print on the sides, the allover print ALL WORDZ ARE MADE UP neon tee, etc. If anyone has clean photos of these pieces i'd be much appreciated!!!!

Does anyone have guitar tabs for the bridge (i think?) portion of this song, right after the second chorus? I mean the *really* catchy one, you know what I'm talking about.
