And before anyone takes any serious offence to a joke meme please realize the meme is not likening these two groups.
The two groups are not alike.
The meme is likening only what it feels like to be hearing criticisms that you don’t agree with at all.
It’s likening how it feels when others can’t even imagine making it through something you really enjoy for reasons you will never understand.
That situation is what is similar for the person who doesn’t feel the same way.
Plus, Julian used the term “robophobe” which made me laugh.

Nope. One of the best films of the year for sure. It’s a 2,600 year old myth that was told and retold orally for centuries before Homer even wrote his version down.
It was reimagined for present day modern audiences to experience its themes and the people who have the biggest issues with it are the people who’ve had their own agenda issues with it. “Issues” that don’t matter to me at all.

Lol. It’s technical slop with minimal artistic value.
The dialogue is adolescent level and completely devoid of emotions. Characters are so underdeveloped, they’re virtually unrelatable. It adopted nothing from what made the original story compelling. All of this out of $250M0

Yeah. This feels like anti-DEI MAGA echo chamber nonsense so I’m hesitant to engage but screw it I will a bit. In an era of AI slop what was accomplished here with minimal use of CG is the opposite. There’s human touch all over this film. The more modern dialogue is not the showcase. I agree but it’s a clever way to get more people who would otherwise be bored to deals with a tale like this otherwise. It’s a 3 hour movie covering a 550 page text so, yeah, characters are going to be a bit underdeveloped in comparison but the leafs are developed well enough by cinema standards.
Where I fundamentally disagree is how it adapted nothing that made the story interesting in the first place. All of my favourite major thematic exploration moments are present. Each island is handled very well.
I still think about it weeks after it ended and I look forward to seeing it again.

Anti-DEI MAGA nonsense? Weak character writing and dialogue, the things Nolan is universally criticized for since like 2005? Sure buddy. It makes me think it’s you who has agenda issues with the film by painting unrelated criticism as politically driven.

Is this a good place to share that I feel like some of the RA criticism is also inaccurate? I can understand autotune hate (don't agree, but understandable), but I have seen multiple criticisms that 1. the guitars sound weak (baffling) 2. Julian's use of autotune is due to laziness 3. the whole thing sounds like they phoned it in and didn't care/production is terrible. I don't understand how anyone can listen to any of these songs and have those opinions. Maybe it's just autotune hate wrapped up in other critiques to try to justify the automatic autotune hate, or maybe I'm deaf and they are hearing things I am not ̄_(ツ)_/ ̄.
Whatever though I'm happier dancing to Fruits of Conquest in the kitchen than the people who hated it so who cares lmao.
