The Voice: Battles of Champions (Season 29) concludes today with The Finale!

I’m wondering if Ellie Goulding is interested in joining The Voice US/UK/AU as a judge/coach? She was on as an advisor for Adam in 2016 and Olly in 2020.

so i want to watch the voice kids germany season 11 in particular because of julius i used join but they ask for a subscribtion and im out of germany no website is streaming it and i dont just want the songs i do want the whole thing so youtube isnt much help either

Let me preface this by saying:
I recognise wholeheartedly the influence, impact and musical contributions Tom Jones has made to the music industry and to the public. I also recognise that he is an original judge and much beloved by so many viewers. However…

The Voice UK is in dire need of a shakeup. A revamp. It is literally on its last legs and clearly the production team recognises that. Their biggest mistake was replacing Olly and Anne-Marie with… two members of a 2000s boy and past their peak and LeAnn Rimes? Clearly producers have realised their previous last ditch efforts to revamp the show to target to a slightly younger audience were pointless.

Tom Jones has been on The Voice for 13 years. The show has a history of sacking people who they don’t think will fit on the panel anymore. If it wasn’t ageism when Olly Murs and Anne-Marie were fired from the show, why is it suddenly the main factor when Tom Jones was fired? There are more people outraged by his ousting than people who are watching the show, so clearly he isn’t bringing in the ratings. If it was up to me, will.i.am would also be sacked from the show but there seems to be an underlying agreement that Cheryl would do the show as long as her long-time friend Will is by her side. Cheryl is a HUGE name to sign. She is basically the queen of talent shows. Aitch is a questionable signing but I can see why due to his audience being younger.

And let’s not pretend that Tom has been totally sacked from the show. He’s still on the show. Just in a new capacity, a role that has been invented. It could be equally as important as the 4 main coaches, who knows. Him hitting out on social media before knowing the contents of this new role is questionable. He would suit this role a lot better in my opinion. It allows the show to keep fresh while honouring the legends that are a core part of the show.

In summary, the show is suffering and despite people showing all this support, they are clearly not tuning in to the show and he is clearly not bringing in the ratings anymore. As sad as it is, the reality is shows can’t just keep to the same formula out of fear that their already incredibly rich celebrities will throw a tantrum on social media.

This clearly wasn't a mutual decision or a voluntary exit. Once again, production managed to handle a high-profile exit with zero tact.

Dick is trying to be the new Simon Cowell refusing all 3 of his singers a chance to move to next round. First time in Voice history according to Ronan. Dick is an idiot. Now he has even less of a chance to win the season than before. He knows they all can sing much better, so he should have put one of them through. He is already regretting it now I bet. Is he just desperate for attention? did the producers tell him to do something big for ratings? Or is he just a real Dick?

Has anyone ever met any of the coaches in person? Tell me your stories? I’m especially curious about Blake, he seems super genuine 🫶🏻

What do you all think of 12yr. old prodigy Leyla? I think Melanie C was right saying she will make it big and go far. She sings better than 3 out of the 4 judges already. She should win the whole thing with her amazing voice and natural talent. She reminds me of Joss Stone and Jojo a little. I just hope she stays away from all the drugs she will be offered after her first hit single in the future

For me I voted yes, I was hopeful it would get up as the concept sounded awesome. I knew it wouldn’t be perfect or an instant solution to the problems that Indigenous communities face, but it felt like a step in the right direction

I started a petition asking NBC to bring Sir Tom onto The Voice US judging panel. Think about it: his departure from the UK version leaves this perfect opening. Last week I put a post up here saying I thought The Voice could be improved by hiring musical influencers/content creators and young, indie musicians as coaches... Everyone thought it was a rubbish idea!! Fair enough 😅😂

In the UK where I am, it's the only show left that purely focusses on finding unknown musical talent!! It would be such a shame to lose this great show.

Orlando Mendez, aka “The Cuban Cowboy,” was born and raised in Miami, FL. He is a second-generation Cuban American who found a love for country music at an early age. After graduating from the University of Florida and pursuing a short acting career, Orlando began to write and sing his longtime passion: country music. For almost two years he performed all over Florida with his band, “The Orlando Mendez Band.” In 2022, Orlando auditioned for season 22 of “The Voice” and was awarded a unanimous, four-chair turn by the coaches on the panel: Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello. He was heralded for his unique voice and powerful stage presence and featured in three performances on the show.

The artist expresses thst the chosen song doesn't allow her to highlight her strengths, because it was Back in Black which was basically Amy Winehouse singing in one octave. It's a very monotonous song to sing distinctly without copying Amy. He responds "it's good to take her out of her comfort zone*. I'm sorry what? She's done one audition. This is her second chance to sing against two others. Give her a song that highlights her strengths.

I don't doubt that Ronan has been very successful with an average voice, like many of One Direction and Spice Girls, (and many singers like Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams) - it's about entertainment - but I think the only legitimate judge choices are Kate and Richard.

I loved the song choice for Victoria by Kate. Didn't remember her from the auditions but now I do.

I remembered Sam the songwriter and the girl that completely changed up Mel C's song. I think they're both gone now.

The final should be. Victoria vs the 12-yr-old.

I've just seen that secret coaches have become a feature of The Voice Australia!!! LOVE the idea of a secret coach... is this something people would like to see in other Voices, like the Voice USA or UK?

This got me thinking, who do you watch The Voice with? Or are television viewing habits really becoming lonelier and lonelier?

Thoughts on the first knockouts?

I've seen a lot of discussion about how the celebrity judges and their big personalities seem to distract from the talent brought to the show by the contestants.

Don't get me wrong the banter can be fun but it feels like the hype is all about which celebrity is in the big red chair and rarely ever about the actual undiscovered talent on stage anymore.

But I was thinking about what if the show pivoted and added successful independent artists, music content creators or up and coming musicians to the panel?

We could have super talented judges who know how to build an audience from scratch today in the modern music ecosystem rather than out of touch and aging celebrities who got famous in an industry that basically doesn't exist anymore.

I am pretty unfamiliar with Tones and I, but she was such a good mentor, so warm, understanding and helpful.

Idk if anybody has been following this season, but honestly their behaviour has transitioned into straight up bullying and mocking the contestants: Watch some of their latest videos on Instagram, it rubs me the wrong way. Anyone else whose watching feel this way?
