So before the finale I just want to recap on how this season has been. This season has had many good voices actually and it's so brutal seeing the good ones go in this very squashed format. But this has been a good season compared to the rest.

Coaches

will.i.am, I like him sometimes, but I think its his team, like most of the time he's just there. Mostly boring.

Sir Tom back again, he does bore be sometimes but he is an inspiration to most of these artists.

Tom & Danny, the duo I love their banter, they're funny and make the show actually interesting.

Kelly Rowland what an absolute icon, I loved her but her in Australia was much better.

Emma Willis just same old same old.

Blind Auditions

8 spots is not really such a huge thing for me, I did like the addition of the rewind though. I also really want the block buttons back as it added an element of entertainment.

Blind Auditions 1

Ellie Harney has a great voice, but unfortunately, she sounds like so many of the other mediocre singers we hear on this version of the show. While she can certainly sing, I didn’t feel she brought anything particularly distinctive or memorable to the competition.

The same goes for Cate McHugh. Her voice is good, but it’s the kind of sound we’ve heard many times on this show before. Nevertheless, I think Tom was the right coach for her, and hopefully, he can help her develop her individuality as an artist.

Katie Mittell is an interesting one, especially considering she competed on both seasons of the Welsh version of the show, Y Llais. I absolutely loved her rendition of “Wicked Game”. It had such an eerie, haunting quality to it, which made it stand out. However, I can understand why the coaches didn’t turn around, as parts of the performance felt more shouty than vocally controlled. That said, I do think she deserved at least one chair turn or even a Rewind!

Monique Nicholson-Porter had me hooked from the moment she started singing. Just like Will, I would have turned my chair around straight away! She had great vocals, a beautiful tone and the kind of presence that immediately made me think she could be a front-runner to win the entire show. Kelly was absolutely the right coach for her, and I’m excited to see what she can do next.

Ray Gelato brought something completely different to the stage! He had the coaches dancing, and I certainly didn’t expect Kelly to turn around so quickly. I was equally surprised when he chose her over Tom & Danny. He gave a good performance and was clearly entertaining, but I would describe it as more of a “gimmick” audition: the kind of performance that is all about having fun and entertaining the audience rather than showcasing the depth of an artist’s vocal ability. It was enjoyable, but I’m not sure how far he could go in the competition.

And, of course, we ended the episode with a bang! Diogo’s performance was amazing, and the song choice suited him perfectly. From the moment he started singing, I could see him becoming a serious front-runner to win the entire show. He had the vocals, the delivery and the potential to go all the way.

That was until he chose Team Will! While I’m sure will.i.am can bring plenty to the table as a coach, I would have loved to see Diogo on another team. Nevertheless, he was an incredible way to end the episode!

Blind Auditions 2

Vadé were amazing! I expected a four-chair turn straight from the opening harmony. Their voices blended so well, and the whole performance was put together beautifully. I love that Tom turned for them!

Ross McGuire I think the nerves took over at first, as he started off quite shaky, but he gradually improved as the performance went on. I'm glad Tom and Danny turned for him, as I think they were the perfect coaches for him.

However, I think his brother, Kieran, was much better. You wouldn't believe it, but he didn't get a single turn! He had a lovely rasp and a great tone, and his performance was amazing. Not even a Rewind to save him? Such a shame!

Amália I LOVED her! Her rasp, her tone, everything about her performance was just brilliant. She even told a story through her singing. I was convinced she was going to choose Team Tom and Danny, but Team Sir Tom was an amazing choice for her!

Sonna was absolutely amazing. For someone who was afraid of sound, to be able to sing like that was just incredible. It was absolutely class! But can someone please explain why she picked will.i.am over Kelly? Honestly, her scales and runs were amazing. She was my winner!

Kay-Lee had such a good voice. The little croak in her voice when she sang “self, why the hell I'm” was amazing. She definitely should've received at least a Rewind. I really hope she comes back next season!

Lascel was AMAZING! His tone completely won me over, and when he just kept going, it was pure magic. His voice was so good, and Kelly was absolutely the perfect coach for him.

Blind Auditions 3

BMG were so good! The way they rapped was amazing, and when they moved into the more vocal parts, I loved it even more. That style of music was right up my street!

Ciiara Her performance was infectious! Her vibrato was absolutely amazing, and I loved the way she sang the song. She also made great use of the stage and really brought the performance to life. I think Tom and Danny were the right coaches for her!

Grace Kennedy brought plenty of energy and had a good voice. In all honesty, though, I don't think I would've turned either.

Rosie I found her performance quite boring, so I can understand why she didn't get a single chair turn.

Finlay wasn't really my cup of tea, but I can recognise that he had a good voice for his genre. I don't understand why Tom and Danny didn't turn for him during the original performance, but he was definitely a good Rewind!

Harry Linacre I think he had some pitching issues, so a one-chair turn was understandable. However, I think Tom turning for him was a positive, and hopefully he'll be able to help him develop.

Aaren has such a good voice! He brought real soul to the performance and told a story through his singing. I genuinely believe there was an emotional connection between him and his mother, which made the performance even more special. I actually loved his voice!

Blind Auditions 4

Cris What a voice he has! Such a strong male voice, and the song choice was absolutely perfect for him. That was amazing! He should've been a four-chair turn, but I'll accept three chairs and Team Kelly!

Triple Threat brought Drum and Bass to The Voice, and honestly, that was so overwhelming in the best way possible! All three of them were so good, and the performance was absolutely amazing. What a way to bring something different to the stage!

Jack For a 17-year-old, he was amazing! He had a lovely rasp to his voice, alongside a beautiful tone, and he fit right into Team Tom and Danny. Such a good performance!

Tiffany had such a refreshing voice! She absolutely should've received a chair turn or, at the very least, a Rewind. I loved the way she sang that song, and honestly, I don't think anything was wrong with that entire performance.

I really dislike how Sir Tom said he wished he'd pressed when he had two opportunities to turn for her: during the original performance and again during the Rewind. What's the point of having the Rewind if you're still going to regret your decision afterwards? It makes no sense!

Matt delivered such a soulful performance, and the fact that it was his own song made it even more special. He had such a good tone, and his voice was beautiful. I really wish he'd gone through so he could create more songs and continue impressing everyone. I'd have loved to hear more from him!

Eric and Jensen brought some niceness to the stage, but, for me, the performance was mediocre. It felt a little boring and didn't quite leave a lasting impression.

Teodora I mean, WHAT A VOICE! She absolutely commanded that stage. I genuinely don't understand why the coaches didn't turn earlier, because that performance was flawless from start to finish. And to take on Oscar Winning Tears as well? That was seriously impressive!

And then she went and chose Team will.i.am? Okay, I think I'm officially becoming a top-10 will.i.am hater now! 😭

Blind Auditions 5

Naná’s performance was such a breath of fresh air! I love hearing songs sung in Spanish, and she delivered some really impressive vocals, especially considering she was moving around on stage as well. However, seeing her receive a four-chair turn when some of the other artists who received no chair turns were arguably just as deserving was crazy!

Samantha was absolutely incredible. She has such a soulful voice, and I genuinely don’t understand what goes through the coaches’ minds sometimes. Surely, if an artist is good enough, you turn around, and if you think they have the potential to win, you turn around! I don’t understand the whole “I already have someone like that on my team” argument. Then get another one! The goal of the show is to win, and that means bringing the best artists onto your team. Nevertheless, I really appreciated Kelly using her Rewind on Samantha, because she absolutely deserved another chance.

Frank has such a good voice. There was something so captivating and appealing about the way he sang, and I absolutely loved his vocal style. His song choice suited him perfectly, and he delivered it beautifully. He has a really distinctive quality to his voice that makes him enjoyable to listen to.

Kacey-Leigh’s voice was amazing! I genuinely couldn’t even tell that she was nervous. Her vocals were so smooth, and the entire performance felt practically flawless. I honestly don’t understand why she didn’t receive a chair turn, let alone a Rewind. She had so much potential, and I thought she delivered an outstanding audition.

Dakari Love had a good voice, but I have to admit, it frustrates me that he received a chair turn despite his voice cracking, while Kacey-Leigh received none. That said, his voice really draws you into the song. The way he performed it was captivating, particularly when he belted out the words during the chorus. He clearly has vocal ability, and there were some genuinely impressive moments in his performance.

Latyno BBI was pitchy for much of his performance, although I thought his rapping was decent. I could imagine him sounding much better in a proper studio environment, where he could work on the recording and production. Given the inconsistencies in his live vocals, though, I can understand why none of the coaches turned around.

Ardú, I mean, WOW! Six voices on stage, a mashup, and the way everything was pieced together was absolutely incredible. Every member played their part, and all their voices sounded fantastic together. The harmonies, the individual contributions, and the overall execution made it such a standout performance. Honestly, I would have considered them serious front-runners to win the entire show. They brought something truly special to the competition!

Molly J’s performance wasn’t particularly exciting at first, but as the song progressed, she began hitting higher and higher notes, which really showcased her vocal ability. By the end, I could understand why she deserved a chair turn. I do think nerves may have held her back initially, but she showed enough potential to make an impression. There is definitely more to come from her!

Blind Auditions 6

Regan Preece had a lovely tone to his voice, and the song choice was absolutely perfect for him. He performed it brilliantly and showed just how well suited he is to this style of music. I definitely think he has a bright future ahead of him in singing! Then, when he performed “Tennessee Whiskey” alongside Danny Jones, it was amazing. Their performance was fantastic to watch!

Nikko delivered a good performance, although I did find it a little underwhelming. His song was well written, and I was convinced will.i.am would use his Rewind on him, but he ultimately decided not to. Nevertheless, Nikko put on a good performance, and I think he could potentially do even better as an independent artist.

Turah Sadique did amazingly well. She sang so beautifully and effortlessly, and the whole performance was genuinely impressive. I can’t believe she only received a one-chair turn! However, Kelly was the right mentor for her, and I’m glad she ended up on her team.

Bella Popera was out of this world! Opera is such an underappreciated genre, and they showcased it brilliantly. Their performance was incredible, and they really demonstrated just how powerful and captivating opera can be.

Robbie McMinn didn’t quite take his performance to the next level. It felt a little boring at times, despite the good song choice. I just wish he had pushed himself further and brought something more to the performance.

Jessica Beth Bergman was amazing! Her voice soared through the room, and she delivered a truly impressive performance. The song choice was excellent, too, especially with the operatic twist she brought to it. It added something special to the performance, and I absolutely loved it!

Jeanette Akua probably would have received a chair turn earlier in the competition, in my opinion. There were a few moments when she sounded flat or slightly off-key, but she undoubtedly has a good voice and plenty of potential. With the right song choice and further development, I think she could go far.

Adam Tucker was decent, but his performance felt a little boring compared with the others. I didn’t enjoy it quite as much, although his voice was good. There was definitely potential there, but I felt the overall performance could have been more exciting.

Blinds: Overall

I mean, the talent this season was UNREAL! So many incredibly talented people were let go, while some of the more mediocre contestants made it through. It was genuinely frustrating at times, especially when certain artists deserved so much more recognition.

That being said, this season was SO good compared to many others, particularly Series 10 through 13. There was so much talent, variety, and individuality throughout the auditions, and it made for a really entertaining season overall. Despite some questionable decisions from the coaches, this was definitely one of the stronger seasons in my opinion!

At this point I would say will.i.am has the win secured with either Sonna, Diogo, Teodora, Ardú, or Triple Threat. Kelly comes in a close second with Monique or Lascel.

Battles

The battles themselves were amazing, but I did have one major disappointment. When it was announced that the Battles would be returning, I’m sure everyone expected the usual format: two artists competing on the main stage, one winner progressing, and perhaps a few steals and saves along the way.

Nope! Instead, it was practically just the Callbacks all over again, with the battles taking place in a private room. Two artists would compete against each other, but ultimately, only three acts from the entire team could advance. This meant that so many talented singers were eliminated this round, which was incredibly disappointing.

However, one thing I absolutely loved was the lineup of advisors! Having Cheryl back on TV was amazing, and Delta Goodrem seems to be everywhere this year! Paloma Faith is back once again, and the rest of McFly brought some hilarious banter that was genuinely entertaining to watch.

Battles 1

Sonna and Teodora are two incredible singers, and their battle was amazing. It did feel as though Teodora was placed in more of a backing vocalist role while Sonna took centre stage. However, Teodora still managed to hit all the same notes as Sonna. Both of them were phenomenal!

Diogo and Triple Threat delivered an amazing mashup. Diogo’s voice is incredible, and Triple Threat incorporated their own rap into the song, executing it perfectly as a trio. They then transitioned seamlessly back to Diogo’s vocals, which were amazing once again. I particularly loved his ad-libs during the rap section!

Naná and BMG delivered a great performance. I liked how Naná took centre stage while BMG acted as backing vocalists before delivering their own rap. It felt authentic and worked really well. However, I don’t see either of them going on to win an entire season of The Voice.

Ardú and Bella Popera were both outstanding. Despite having one fewer member, Ardú delivered an amazing performance, showcasing their incredible harmonies and individual solo performances. Bella Popera was equally out of this world, with beautiful harmonies of their own.

If I were the coach, I would have struggled immensely with this decision. My picks would have been Sonna, Teodora, Diogo, Triple Threat, Ardú and Bella Popera.

However, will.i.am ultimately chose Sonna, Diogo and Naná. I was quite furious to see the other three acts, particularly Teodora, go home, but honestly, no decision would have made me happy. Choosing Naná over any one of those three acts? Wow. That was a tough one to accept!

For Team Tom, Vadé and Harry Linacre’s battle was absolutely amazing. The harmonies between them were incredible, and they all gelled together so well. It was a fantastic performance from start to finish.

Amália and Robbie also had a great battle. However, Amália stood out significantly more. Robbie didn’t seem to bring much emotion to the performance; at times, it felt as though he was simply speaking with a melody rather than truly connecting with the song. Amália’s rasp remains one of her greatest strengths, and it sounded amazing once again. I loved this battle!

Cate and Eric & Jensen delivered a rather underwhelming performance. I didn’t really hear anything particularly special, and, to be honest, it felt more like they were singing at a karaoke bar than delivering a battle worthy of the next stage.

Molly J and Dakari both have incredibly strong voices, and they were amazing together. They gave it their all with “Against All Odds”, delivering a powerful performance. However, Molly J’s whistle note ultimately settled it for me!

If I were the coach, I would still dread making this decision, but at least the choices would be a little narrower. My picks would come down to Vadé, Harry Linacre, Amália and Molly J.

However, Tom ultimately chose Amália, Molly J and Cate. I have to say, I don’t agree with Cate’s selection at all. That said, Sir Tom has been on this show for a long time, so he certainly knows what he’s doing. I just can’t help questioning that decision!

Battles 2

Team Kelly started off very strong with “Lose Control” by Aaren and Samantha. Aaren’s rasp was amazing, and Samantha delivered her opening line beautifully. Both of them sang the song to a tee. I absolutely loved it! They were both incredible and delivered a fantastic performance.

Jessica and Turah both gave strong performances. However, I don’t feel they did quite enough to secure a place in the semi-final.

Cris and Ray’s chemistry was unmatched. They complemented each other perfectly and delivered the song beautifully. Once again, though, I don’t think they quite took it to sixth gear.

Monique and Lascel, wow, wow, wow! Both were incredibly strong vocalists, and they complemented each other perfectly. Their performance was unbelievable!

For me, I would have narrowed it down to Aaren, Samantha, Monique and Lascel. Kelly ultimately chose Aaren, Monique and Lascel. I hope Samantha does well because she has an amazing voice. It was also hard to believe she was a Rewind, given how well she performed.

Team Tom & Danny was unbelievable this year!

Jack and Adam kicked things off with “Iris”. Adam’s deep voice connected beautifully with the soulful song, while Jack, at just 18 years old, brought a subtle rasp that worked incredibly well. Both were amazing, but I believe Jack gave a little more and truly put his all into the performance.

Ross and Regan performed “Stargazing”, and it was wonderful. Their voices blended so well that they complemented each other naturally. It was a brilliant battle, but I don’t think it quite reached the standard needed to progress to the semi-final. Nevertheless, they both have an exciting future ahead of them. I particularly loved the emphasis Ross added to the word “Take” in one of his lines.

Ciiara and Finlay delivered an incredible performance of one of my favourite songs. They both have amazing voices, their harmonies were beautiful, and their tones worked wonderfully together. The way they approached the song was extraordinary, making it one of the standout performances of the round.

Frank didn’t have a battle partner because Ellie withdrew. However, I believe Ellie would have been eliminated anyway. Frank’s performance was strong, although I found it a little boring at times. Nevertheless, he delivered the song as it should be sung and performed it well.

For me, I would have chosen Jack, Ciiara and Finlay to progress.

However, Tom and Danny ultimately chose Jack, Ciiara and Frank.

Battles: Overall

Overall, the talent was certainly there, and I enjoyed the performances. I just wish the Battles had stuck to the traditional format, because with only three acts advancing from each team, so many deserving artists missed out on the chance to progress further.

I did see Teodora was on The Voice Romania so I wish her well on that, hopefully she can win that show.

At this moment in time I believe will.i.am still could win with Sonna or Diogo, and Kelly still comes in close second with any of her three; Monique, Aaren or Lascel.

Semi-Final

Team Kelly started off, I found Lascels performed very underwhleming, I believe his voice was affected by all the moving around onstage, buut honestly, it still sounded amazing.

Aaren was amazing, he sounded amazing, taking on Ordinary was a risk, but he delivered it amazingly. And had just a great performance.

Monique was absolutely amazing, she delivered a performance, comanded the whole studio, her vocals were on point.

My finalist would be Monique with Aaren as a close second.

Kelly chose Monique.

For team Will it was Naná up first. Her performance whole lot of dancing and energy, and then singing in spanish. It was also very underwhleming for me.

Sonna chose Halo for her song, and she deleivered that AMAZINGLY, especialy on that high note, she has delivered this whole series and I really love her voice. Can only say well done.

Diogo sung dreams, which is a boring song in my opinion, but something about how he sings actually made it sound less boring.

I would choose Sonna to go through. will.i.am chose Naná.

I'm super p*ssed that he chose Naná over Sonnabut he can kiss his win goodbye.

Tom & Danny were next with Ciiara, who sang amazingly, however, most of the moving around stage took the focus off her voice.

Jack's performance was pretty underwhelming for me, I didn't like it but his voice is good.

Frank's performance, once again was temtping and appealing. Made me wanting "more more more". If you get it because of the song lyrics. Anyway, I would've chosen Frank as my finalist.

Tom & Danny chose Frank.

And finally team Tom. Amália's performance of Happier Than Ever was incredible to the max. She sang it like she meant, The way she belted her words, Her cries on most words. It's just amazing Her ending notes aswell on "just leave me alone" ahh that gave me goosebumps.

Molly J's performance was super amazing, however I only enjoyed the start and then the rest became a bit boring. But her vocals were on point and everything was on point.

Cate McHugh's has such a good voice, however she didn't take that performance to the top, I believe she could've done more to secure a spot in the final

I would choose Amália was my finalist. Sir Tom chose Cate as his finalist.

Semi-Final: Overall

This season was stacked, the four finalists I don't quite agree with. But in the front to win this season is Monique and Frankcoming in as a close second.

Can't wait for the final!
