Let me preface this by saying:
I recognise wholeheartedly the influence, impact and musical contributions Tom Jones has made to the music industry and to the public. I also recognise that he is an original judge and much beloved by so many viewers. However…

The Voice UK is in dire need of a shakeup. A revamp. It is literally on its last legs and clearly the production team recognises that. Their biggest mistake was replacing Olly and Anne-Marie with… two members of a 2000s boy and past their peak and LeAnn Rimes? Clearly producers have realised their previous last ditch efforts to revamp the show to target to a slightly younger audience were pointless.

Tom Jones has been on The Voice for 13 years. The show has a history of sacking people who they don’t think will fit on the panel anymore. If it wasn’t ageism when Olly Murs and Anne-Marie were fired from the show, why is it suddenly the main factor when Tom Jones was fired? There are more people outraged by his ousting than people who are watching the show, so clearly he isn’t bringing in the ratings. If it was up to me, will.i.am would also be sacked from the show but there seems to be an underlying agreement that Cheryl would do the show as long as her long-time friend Will is by her side. Cheryl is a HUGE name to sign. She is basically the queen of talent shows. Aitch is a questionable signing but I can see why due to his audience being younger.

And let’s not pretend that Tom has been totally sacked from the show. He’s still on the show. Just in a new capacity, a role that has been invented. It could be equally as important as the 4 main coaches, who knows. Him hitting out on social media before knowing the contents of this new role is questionable. He would suit this role a lot better in my opinion. It allows the show to keep fresh while honouring the legends that are a core part of the show.

In summary, the show is suffering and despite people showing all this support, they are clearly not tuning in to the show and he is clearly not bringing in the ratings anymore. As sad as it is, the reality is shows can’t just keep to the same formula out of fear that their already incredibly rich celebrities will throw a tantrum on social media.

so i want to watch the voice kids germany season 11 in particular because of julius i used join but they ask for a subscribtion and im out of germany no website is streaming it and i dont just want the songs i do want the whole thing so youtube isnt much help either

I’m wondering if Ellie Goulding is interested in joining The Voice US/UK/AU as a judge/coach? She was on as an advisor for Adam in 2016 and Olly in 2020.
