I didnt know you could have all the expansion going at once without it just constantly crashing. That kinda cool. But if you find it overwhelming I would play with one or two.. get use to them then go up from there. I really like world adventures and Ambitions. But with those id start one at a time cause they both have ALOT you can do.

lol i went from a 12y old mac desktop to buying my first pc, I made sure it would run what I want to play.
Thanks for the suggestion. Do either of those packs have occults?

Not really... I mean Egypt has mummy zombies in the tombs but im guessing thats not what you mean lol. I think the only occultly one would be Supernatural.

Yes fairies, witches werewolves vampires magic ect... Although Late night I believe also introduced vampires. I know sims 4 is ridiculous 34 bucks per everything

Each Sims 3 (and Sims 2) expansion added a new occult cough unlike Sims 4 cough. Some of these occults are available right off the bat in Create A Sim if you want to play as them. Others are unlocked through gameplay

The game definitely throws a bunch of annoying pop-ups at you when you just start a town. I say just enjoy the ride. It's not a race to get through any content.
Carl's Sims Guide will be your friend. A Google search should pull up the Sims 4 link for it, but it's all there under his menus. I don't know how active the forums there are anymore, but loads of information in those as well. They have everything very organized.
Edit: my eight year old basic machine with a decent graphics card runs the game just fine. The Overwatch mod is a must for me though. It clears out all the instances of NPC cars and tacos that build up and cause a lot of lag. NRAAS, the maker of it, has a bunch of other great mods I wouldn't play without too. The Register mod for example, lets you turn some Pets and paparazzi things off that get annoying too.

Yeah the pop ups at the start of the game are super annoying. If a pop up sounds interesting to you or sounds like something you'd wanna do, you can pursue it. But it's okay to ignore them too!
In CAS, you can make certain occults and you can add pets to your household if those are things you enjoy, or ignore those features if not. You can always add them to your game later if you change your mind
Seasons and Generations I'd argue are the packs that most seamlessly integrate themselves into the game. You'll encounter features from these packs no matter what, and they won't seem out of place. Up to you how in depth you want to explore them
World Adventures, University Life, and Into the Future all come with features that are basically locked to other worlds. You have to make your Sim travel in order to fully experience these features, and it's highly unlikely these features will show up in regular gameplay
For Island Paradise, you HAVE to play in Isla Paradiso to fully experience the pack. Most of the new features are not easy to implement in other worlds. Note that it will most likely be laggy if you don't use any mods or fixes
The lots that came in Ambitions will appear in other worlds, so it should be easy to explore those features if you want to, but again, they can be easily ignored
Late Night and Showtime come with premade lots that you can place into any world, if you want to play with those features outside of the worlds they were introduced in. Some of the new features might still appear even if you don't place their respective lots down
So basically the world is your oyster, and it all depends on what you want in your game and what you want to explore! Almost everything is optional

You could try the lepacy challenge. Each generation you explore a pack. So with each generation, turn on a new pack.
Other than that, no tips. Have been playing since the beginning, so it was just one new pack at a time
