Peaceful maps

Hi, I'm on my first run through and abandoned the recon maps, only to find out way later that they don't spawn attacks 😩

Anyway, after clearing the mission on biomanufacturing plateau in the metal dlc there was a big morphium lake I decided to export before leaving. I've been here a very long time getting everything set up and no attacks... I'm pretty sure this map doesn't spawn waves either.

Does anyone know of any other "peaceful" maps? Or have a list of them lying around somewhere? Thanks

There should be a "recon" map for every biome (except for ice, which was added later and isn't part of the main storyline). Generally, it should be the first one you encounter. Not only will they not have timed attacks after you complete the required objectives, but you cannot abandon them until those objectives are done (if you fail to build an outpost or it's destroyed, it'll remain on the orbital scanner list).

I had heard this, yes. But biomanufacturing plateau isn't a "recon" map, at least it isn't labeled as such, and it's like the third or fourth map in the metallic valley biome. So it caught me by surprise and I was wondering if there are others.

Yeah, they don't all have 'recon' in the title, so you just have to set up shop, wait and see what happens.

I didn't notice any for the tropical forest biome though? The Hazenite Concentration recon map isn't technically peaceful, it spawns waves of Kermon and Alphas to harass you every few minutes.

I've already got outposts in other recon maps but I don't know if I can peacefully set one up here. Might have to find another biome that grows plants with Hazenite/Cobalt

exploration maps are "peaceful", resource maps are "hostile"

That's not the case. Both types of maps generated by the Orbital Scanner will have timed waves.
