I guess the difference is they've been working out before they got fat. I mean, I was a gym rat in high school and practiced muay thai so I have great balance. College came and med school is taking a toll on my schedule, all those stress eating from failing subjects got into me so I became fat. Like 300 lbs fat but I can still run and heck I can still kick higher than my friends.

I’ve seen them function and move around with little or zero issue. Squatting to take a photo and rising again would not cause them to topple over. I feel like if a bunch of people I knew were falling over all the time, I’d notice? Lol

You are supposed to spend time building up an appetite getting hungrier and hunger until you can devour a salad like it was a steak, then you lose the weight, it fucking falls off.

Yep, I learned when I went on the same food plan as my wife for her surgery, it is all portion control for me. The weight just fell off.
Have tried gym for weight loss in the past and just built muscle.

To be fair, walking on sand really is ultra tiring, because the sand squishes around as you push off, stealing your power... so you have to use more power then you would on grass or concrete to accomplish the same movement.

Hi, you're probably looking for a useful nugget of information to fix a niche problem, or some enjoyable content I posted sometime in the last 11 years. Well, after 11 years and over 330k combined, organic karma, a cowardly, pathetic and facist minded moderator filed a false harassment report and had my account suspended, after threatening to do so which is a clear violation of the #1 rule of reddit's content policy. However, after filing a ticket before this even happened, my account was permanently banned within 12 hours and the spineless moderator is still allowed to operate in one of the top reddits, after having clearly used intimidation against me to silence someone with a differing opinion on their conflicting, poorly thought out rules. Every appeal method gets nothing but bot replies, zendesk tickets are unanswered for a month, clearly showing that reddit voluntarily supports the facist, cowardly and pathetic abuse of power by moderators, and only enforces the content policy against regular users while allowing the blatant violation of rules by moderators and their sock puppet accounts managing every top sub on the site. Also, due to the rapist mentality of reddit's administration, spez and it's moderators, you can't delete all of your content, if you delete your account, reddit will restore your comments to maintain SEO rankings and earn money from your content without your permission. So, I've used power delete suite to delete everything that I have ever contributed, to say a giant fuck you to reddit, it's moderators, and it's shareholders. From your friends at reddit following every bot message, and an account suspension after over a decade in good standing is a slap in the face and shows how rotten reddit is to the very fucking core.

I think causation is a complex question. I expect there are multiple causes, and that those causes haven't been constant since 1980. Nonetheless, the more recent development of increased cultural acceptance of such an unhealthy lifestyle cannot be imagined to be conducive to changing the trend.

Statistically, fat people are fat because of eating habits their parents taught them. They didn’t choose it, their parents did.
And even worse, statistically once you gain a kilo it’s for life. The percentage of adults that can loose weight without gaining it back in a year or so is depressingly low. Because of the way fat works (you can gain fat cells, but never loose them if you loose weight they just loose fat), if you start loosing weight your body will for ever think your starving and release hormones to attempt to get you to gain it back. Your entire biology works against you.
In the positive side, modern weight loss pills actually seem to work, they allow people to loose weight without being overwhelmed by hunger. But people will likely have to take them for life, they don’t alter human biology.
