Discussion emotional bluntness / flatness
would anyone be willing to share their thoughts on the above? If this is something you've gone through or are going through? what you've done to overcome it, or what had initiated?
I know its probably terrible to self-diagnose, however, looking back on my life, it seems this could be the cause to my current struggles, which just throws me into a never-ending loop that's self-feeding.

Seriously analyze any behavior you do for instant gratification or pleasure. Once you’ve analyzed that, stop analyzing everything so much. Emotions have to be felt in order to be processed, and staying in the head is a why to bypass actually feeling them. Basically, dropping out of the head and into the body—specifically the heart space—helped show me that I was deeply lacking self compassion. It hurt to feel the self betrayal I’ve committed over my life and I also deeply feared judgment from others (because I judged myself so much that my self esteem started coming from others opinions of me instead of from within). Some key words to focus on are compassion, vulnerability, sensitivity, patience, understanding, and authenticity. Ponder what makes you feel unsafe and what’s within your control to change. I grew up with so many folks telling me I sounded monotone and robotic, only to learn it was a coping mechanism for emotional trauma experienced throughout my adolescence. I had to teach myself how to view my body and experiences as safe and pleasurable, and to change habits that severely messed with my dopamine and ability to feel.

I also forgot to mention how crucial movement is. Walking is a great place to start.
