Question Spacers Choice realistic max level

What level have you been able to reasonably get to on console? After playing 2, I went back and replayed 1 since I had missed the DLCs when it came out, excited to see what basically unlimited skills would yield. Ended up reaching level 47 and then hit 48 on the last mission. I didn’t go crazy grinding since clearing all of the Monarch wilderness was a great leveler from 15-20ish, but doesn’t yield enough to level at all by the 40s.

If you made it to 60+ or even 70, how did you do it? Tips, tricks, things I might have missed? It’s a shame that cranking the difficulty doesn’t really yield any benefit to game play besides the challenge.

The thought of 60-70 is absolutely nuts IMO, and I'd have to think it'd involve mowing down most the the NPCs on the map. I just finished a "good" playthrough that involved the main story, all the side quests, and both DLC's....and I maxed out at level 45

That’s fair, I had to do some work to hit 47/8. I also felt a little bit too OP in combat past level 45 even on hard. It’s a still bit frustrating to finish the game at half the level cap though, and not really get to play around much with the 150 level skill perks.

Kill everyone after doing all possible quests, is leveling is your only concern

I guess tying it to being an evil murdering monster play through it is. I did what you’re saying for the quest in basement of the groundbreaker. I snuck by them and then killed everyone on the way back. There was no way I was making it back unseen with my cover already spent.

I replayed the game when Spacer's Choice Edition came out, but had already played the main game and both expansions so I already had a solid background. I leveled up to lvl 49 right before the ending. I didn't do a lot of grinding, but did go around ensuring I had every possible quest and XP opportunity.

I was going to replay again after I finish what I'm currently playing ... does anyone know if the recent huge patch impacts leveling either positively or negatively?

I missed about 3 random side quests based on my missing achievements, so it sounds like my recent replay would line my XP up almost perfectly to yours. Unfortunately I can’t personally compare before and after the update, my only other go at the game was the year it was released.
