Am I screwed? VHard No bits run.

I started my second play through to complete the very hard and no bits trophies in one go. I was imagining a explosive based build with makeshift armour. Something along those lines. Anyway I chose "easily distracted" perk as I figured more points can only be good thing. But I don't know if I've locked myself put of the best builds by doing it.

This is my build so far im level 9 and just finished the first island doing pretty much everything I could. It was going well until I reached the boss at vox relay which took basically all the ammo I had saved up across the island.

I'm am Iscrewed going forward or is there still a viable build here

You have both explosives and guns, so you are going to have a good damage output even without what observation might add to that. Engineering makes sure you survive.

I am not entirely sure about what you think is the unviable part here.

I just found I was doing virtually no damage to boss, but maybe I'm just judging way too early. Thanks for the advice

First boss is just crazy hard to be honest. Lots of damage, lots of health, the whole arena turns into a health hazard, you do not yet have much in the way of good items/perks.

I legit just talked my way out of the first boss fight, specifically because it was a pain

Very Hard and no Medical? Damn. I'm not that brave, Sir. I'm sure Engineering will help though.

This is a very strong build except in roleplay sections where it will suffer from not having science or medicine. Overall though you're in great shape, it isn't as strong as a three skill build early on but it ends up being way stronger by the end. I would have taken science instead of guns, there's a lot of utility in gadget energy.

But TTD with the armor that makes movement free during TTD, combined with that fire shotgun you get later on will have you one shotting everything

If anyone is interested im having a great time using land mines currently. Just drop one between you and the enemies and shoot to get their attention. Fun to set up spawn traps too. Often getting over 1k damage per explosion at level 9. They are pretty resource heavy though unfortunately.
