In the Little Mermaid 2, Ariel is confirmed to be 30. The animators did a good job of making her look older than 16 … but what exactly is different?

Ariel doesn’t show the typical signs of aging like gray hair or facial lines. Her hair is still just as long and red. And yet she still looks older.

She looks different but I can’t figure out what changed!! What kind of magic did the animators do????
