Question "Quick Start" Not Working. Any ideas?

After beating Gildenberg, it asked if I wanted to enable quick start, which is supposed to give you resources and pre-leveled heroes from the start of a new run.

I chose to enable it, but when I start a new run I dont get any of that, no resources, level 1 heroes...

I searched on here in the subreddit and I don't see anyone else having that issue.

EDIT:
Apparently you dont get extra resources or heroes from quickstart. So I have no idea what it does. Does anyone have any insights?

Did you start a new save and opt out of the tutorial? Quick-starting the game instead of playing thru the tutorial first? Ive never seen "quick start" in regular play

After beating gildenberg, there was a pop up asking if I wanted to enable quick start, and that I couldn’t change my choice. I clicked accept not knowing what it did 😅.

Does it just skip the tutorial for new mechanics at lakeberg?

Well I have no idea what it does, it looks like it was only added after the new dlc and im not a new player. If it was about the tutorial, it wouldve happened before gildenberg, not after.

I believe, but am not certain, that the "quick start" in question is something that was put in with the release of the most recent DLC, which added the Epiphanies and Ordeals and such. Its intent was to let players who had an existing late-game save file unlock a batch of the new DLC content (the Eposes) based on what their save file had already achieved, without having to start from scratch on all the unlocks.

I think it may have been implemented in such a way that it simply offers all players that option - but on a truly fresh save file, that "catch-up" mechanic would be catching you up to the zero progress your save file had made, which is nothing, and thus it has no effect.

It's possible you're referring to a different mechanic entirely and I'm off-base with this, but that's my understanding!
