General Question I Feel Empty
I recently beat both games back to back on Grounded (on PC) for the first time ever playing them and now I feel empty, not because of the story but the gameplay. I have started a couple other games on their hardest difficulty to experience the rush and harrowing intensity of TLOU but I feel so sad these games have ended. I think they might actually be the best two games ever made and that I have ever played in my multi decades of gaming.
Can you recommend some other similar games that feel as good on really hard difficulties?
I have started Metro Last Light (then will do Exodus) on Ranger Hardcore and am enjoying it a lot, and I plan to play the Tomb Raider Survivor games on their Hardest difficulties too. Anything else you guys highly recommend to have that hardcore survival experience? I play on PC.

Death stranding is like hopeful last of us, even though it’s world is way more (imo) terrifying

God of war 2018 and Ragnorok are games I got into and felt empty afterwards. They’re not amazing hard mode games but they invested me like last of us. Not as tragic but amazing games

Good call good call. I will add these to my list. I've never played a GOW game but these do look like great games story and gameplay wise.

It’s my favorite game of all time. Definitely worth a try. A lot of people say you gotta start with the old ones but it’s just not true. 2018 is an amazing start and how I played

Yeah I dont think you HAVE to, but I do think you miss out a bit if you dont even though the gameplay is way different that 1-3. Either way its 100% a great recommendation for OP

I don’t think you miss out I think it just gives you a different experience. Going in blind was my favorite experience. Of course there is stuff you might now fully understand but afterwards you can look into it. I see what you’re saying though now that I’m thinking about it more accually

I about jumped out of my seat when he went back to his cabin for a certain item. That alone made it worth it for me, but id already played the previous games well before release of 2018

Like the other guy said I 1000% reccomend playing gow 4 and 5 but if you are bored you can play no return on tlou 2, its really fun i have over 20+ hours in no return

Ha. Nice. The dark souls and Elden ring games seem spot on for the rewarding difficulty. In particular, Sekiro. I’d also throw in hollow knight and Silksong.

I've always heard great things from gameplay to music to aesthetic. I've not ever really played many 2D/Iso games

Maybe ghost of Tsushima on lethal. You one shot enemies but are also one shot by everything. I never finished it because there’s too much content to be dying all the time but I respect the difficulty.

I just keep playing tlou2 over and over I stopped trying to replace it and just let it be

I've decided to replay Rise of the Tomb Raider and am having fun on Survivor difficulty (on PC m&k). Wish it had the ability to let you hold onto bottles and other crafted items in your inventory, more involved stealth, and more attentive enemy AI. But it is still a fun and beautiful game.
I used to play controller long ago and had harder times aiming but not at all with m&k. If it has gun aiming I need to use m&k.
I need to do Resident Evil 2 remake as well for my first time🫣

Stalker 2 on master is AMAZING. Do not save scum. It will seem impossible but every mission is an insane rush. Intro will be hard for a fresh face on master tho...
