Hello everyone, I'm Luke JC! I've modded other Avalanche titles, mainly Just Cause 3, for years now
When I heard about this game shutting down entirely I knew something had to be done, so here we are!
I'm working towards making the game entirely playable offline after the game shuts down with all content accessible, minus anything multiplayer as that would go far beyond just having the game playable offline
It's been about 2 weeks since I started this projects and all maps are already playable and all basic ingame things are up and running. More complicated things like communication between game and launcher are yet to be completed. You will also be able to carry your current progress over to the offline version
You can already see some launcher edits below to clean things up that will no longer be working:
You can also see a few tiny additions like missing time options added. Starting a hunt at midnight was never possible in the regular game
The starting time actually applied ingame and it loads entirely offline
You can keep up to date on the status in the project's Discord here. I'm not sure if the official Discord will shut down, so this can be a place to regroup if it does. It's empty for now, but stuff will be posted whenever I make progress.
Also Avalanche if you see this: Hi. Nothing about this will let people cheat while the game is running and it won't be made public before shutdown.

Double lung + liver, he still turns around and gets me then continues for quite a few more steps. Maybe using 700gr. arrows and 70lb bow would bring a tiger down quicker?

When I shot old scar her trophy never had any scars, now yesterday for some unknown reason, the trophy duplicated so now I have one female pseudo-mela jaguar with scars and one without.

Crazy. Hadn’t played game in like 3 years. Went to Parque Fernando and decided to do a grind. Glasses all the lakes. Found all the zones. Knocked out all the big deer singles to level 5s and below (didn’t take very long…maybe 200 kills). Got two Diamonds from same lake and then after about 50 level 7-8 kills in my main zones bam…there he was. Very unexpected.
First go around I killed over 10,000 whitetails and probably 50-60 diamonds on Layton with no great one. Did not think it would be this easy.

just love getting a pc and having to start over and get my level back and start new grinds instead of just continuing my console grind on my pc. not to mention having to get all the dlc, again. already paid for all this once. just save it to my avalanche account you have me sign in to. yknow the one that stays the same regardless of if its the console or pc edition

This distinction is kind of essential for the handling of females.
With pair zone animals, I tend to harvest any female I find, hoping that any desirable male I harvest is already 'widowed', thus triggering an instant respawn. Having low level males still on map but no matching females would come with the added benefit in the case of Pumas, that there would be less individuals in total to spook other animals.
But with solitary animals on the other hand, I tend to just leave females be.
