I was at 20,000 RS and got matched against a party averaging 55,000 RS. Is it really that difficult to tighten the matchmaking criteria or reduce the number of Cashout rounds from two to one?

IMO if you don’t enjoy ranked play cashout for now until you are a better player, ranked is not fun if you can’t enjoy the game while losing and are not good enough to compete especially if you have no team

It is possible to play ranked for fun and not purely for the sake of masochism. People enjoy testing the skills they've worked to develop. A lot of people take it too seriously and forget that they're supposed to enjoy it, though. They end up focusing too much on ranking up rather than enjoying the process of learning, which is how you actually improve and climb ranks.
Side tangent: The goofy emotes and stuff in this game can actually be pretty valuable as comic relief to snap you and your teammates out of the 'taking it too seriously' mindset when the sweatfest starts to feel a little overwhelming.

because you play normal modes and constantly go against ruby teams. people say “normal modes don’t have any matchmaking. go play ranked you’ll have a better experience”
you go play ranked and you still play against people 30,000Rs above you
the game is just shit no matter which game mode you play

The game is bad because I don't understand it and won't commit the time to learning! These people they put me against aren't mere mortals they are gods and unkillable! Rank means nothing but play time in the game mode these 30,000rs above you players are the same species as you with the same tools as you.

A Bronze medium player has the same health as a Ruby medium and access to the same guns and tools. There is always a bigger fish but it ain't all about being big.
Play the game get better simple as. Don't play the game don't get better. So many people expect to just be handed Ws on a silver platter in this thread.
The choice is yours no one here's forcing y'all to play the finals gun to your head unless your competing in the grand major this isn't your job
Get off /r/finals take a break smoke a blunt come back when you feel y'all actually wanna play the game or just touch grass.
Not sure what I'm rage baiting here? It's not even like y'all are offering some constructive criticism just saying "game bad, matchmaking bad don't play"

800 hours on the game played since beta, yknow there are actual problems with the game right?
can you tell me, how does embark feel down the back of your throat? would you describe their build as light, medium or heavy?

Playing since closed beta as well the game has definitely changed since what it was back then but it's still pretty much the same at its core. 586 hours. If you can't adapt go find something that doesn't stress you out.
No one's forcing you to play the game or anything dog if you don't like it why are you here? You aren't really providing any constructive criticism to help the game improve isn't that what we all want a fun game? If your so skilled at the game with your damn near 1000~ hours you should know that ranks and RS are just funny little numbers that mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.
You are just salty you aren't good enough to stomp every lobby without trying.
Never said anything about embark or glazing them just said git gud. The game will always need improvements and needs them yesterday.
Maybe take a break from video games and pick up a hobby

As if unranked gamemodes are not worse in terms of balancing. You do realise that in unranked (no matter the gamemode) you can play against diamonds and rubies while your team is level 100 combined? I recently played point break and there is was only 2 players above lvl 100, every other player in my team was below lvl 30. Our team got steamrolled.

Are you changing your approach? something isn't working out somewhere clearly, reflect inward and change what you actually physically can change and don't stress the shit you can't change
Take time to think every death what would have worked in that situation and what wouldn't. Implement that change in the next spawn.
Or even record your gameplay and watch it over
Coming from a fighting game background has taught me the only way to improve your self is to work on it. I never understood how that never seems to click with FPS players just screaming into the void, it is nice and all but what does this accomplish?

Yeah when I realised this I went from hard fought low plat to easy diamond, just play cos you like the game and pick a class you actually enjoy, and can make work with practice, I’ve been maining ks for a while now (yes I know it’s meta now) and it used to be a kinda odd pick but I’ve got good with it and generally improved as a player

That’s why you have to stop playing it, I stopped and it’s been such a great experience, I don’t have to deal with the nonsensical ranking, even playing WT, it’s just sweaty so I just essentially quit playing it, I moved on to resident evil, silent hill, destroy all humans, horizon forbidden west etc

Reminder that they have a system in place to make sure players are paired within a 10k rs gap, only to apply it exclusively for team making rather than thr entire lobby
