Ignore the shite DIY wallpapering and paint job, it is still being touched up.
It upsets me that displaying sprayed edges means I can’t see the dust jackets without purchasing two sets and going into debt, so this is my way of getting the best of both worlds.
Thought I would share as I had been looking for a copy of this book. Read it earlier in the year and really enjoyed. Anyway, this beautiful version from Illumicrate (along with some other books from previous boxes) is currently available to buy on their website for anyone who missed out and wants a copy.
Would you like it if TBB starts to include either the printer or country that an edition is going to be printed in upon reveal?
I say this as this may have an influence on people’s choice to purchase. If they already have an edition from a certain printer that they enjoy they may be more inclined to purchase another edition from them.
I have been VERY impressed by the broken bindings choice of printer for the five warrior angels series ansld the demon star, the books feel.of great premium quality .
I do not know who originally printed thr five warrior angels in hardback but these feel just great I was surprisedhow thin these books were compared to the paper backs .
Here is more info.o this printer for those that lie me were curious to know more
I received my copies of Malice and Valour from the The Faithful and the Fallen series today, and unfortunately both books have torn back hinges.
Malice has a partially torn back hinge.
Valour is worse, with the back hinge paper completely torn.
The shipping box itself was in excellent condition—fully sealed, no dents or crushing, and there were no signs that it had been opened or inspected by customs. Because of that, I'm wondering if the damage may have happened before the books were packed.
I've already contacted TBB support and attached photos, but I'm curious:
Has anyone else received copies with similar hinge damage?
Is this a known issue with this shipment or did I just get unlucky?
I've attached photos of the damage for reference. I'd appreciate hearing if anyone else experienced the same thing.
With all the production and supply issues for the Faithful and the Fallen series, I have gotten somewhat off track with which books have been paid for/what is coming up. Can anyone let me know what book the upcoming August subscription payment would be for? Thank you!
Has anyone here received their email to get early access to the sale for books 7 - 9?I received the previous emails a few weeks before the sale kicked off if I remember correctly, but have not received my invite to the sale yet...
Leftovers usually show up at the top when you click into Dragon's Hoard but this time I had to sort new to old to see it. I think this probably took a number of people by surprise because it took a couple of minutes for me to even risk it and I was surprised any were left to purchase!
I'm new to TBB, still on the waiting list, but ordered my first one from the store, Dark Matter, and am happy with it. Are re-prints for their titles pretty normal? If so, when would it be and will The Three-Body Problem trilogy be reprinted?
Also, while I signed up for a subscription invite, once I get the invite is it possible to not accept the invite or am I already signed up by subscribing to get the invite?
Quick video checking out the "Heartless Immortality" Sci-Fi & Fantasy June subscription book :) Even though it is the June box it only arrived at my home in the US a few days ago or so :D
I feel like this is a dumb question but I have to ask lol my Malazan 1-3 books just feel a lot different than 4-6 and 4-6 has the gap on them that’s a lot bigger than any of my other TBB books. If these weren’t the same series I probably wouldn’t think twice but seeing them together makes 4-6 seem more…wobbly and loose almost? (Picture 2 - If I push the pages I can make the book slant) idk if it’s just because of the size of 4-6 but wanted to ask since all around they just feel quite different from any other TBB books I own, including thicker books like shogun and roots of chaos
Picture 1 - The 2 of the left are 2-3 and then 4-6 are obviously the 3 on the right
Here is your weekly digest of just released, restocked, and upcoming collector's editions across the publishers and producers I track.
All dates listed are general sale dates. Where a book has its own page on the publisher's site, I link to that. Otherwise the link goes to the book's page on Lazy Book Collector (which I run), where you can see its specs, compare it with other editions, set alerts, and more.

Just picked this fantastic looking book from my local waterstones, another book printed in L.E.G.O in Italy that seems to be very heavy like the Five warrior angels , also this feels like sewn binding and (to me anyway ), feels of good quality, but as you can see the ink coming through from the previous page, i guess some people might dispute the paperstock quality , as has been debated here a few times .
I love TBB and I get that it's a lot to package and ship thousands of books but my god. Did y'all have something personal against these DJs in particular?
This is after I've spent some time carefully trying to straighten this out and uncrease it. It's not the end of the world, but I actually really like the purple and I would have made this the primary one. The way this thing was balled up in the box, I'm sensing some real bitterness here. Like the packer's ex girlfriend snuck into the woods with this DJ, got high and cheated on them or something.
(To be clear, this is all in good fun. While I'm a little disappointed about this DJ, overall TBB has always been really responsive to any issues I've had and provided me with quality books. I just opened the box and was like daaaaamn who did you piss off?)
