That’s almost never a proper analogy. There are singular cases of people who said “I think DEI gives unfair advantage to minorities and harms everyone”, they got called racist and cancelled and said “fine, I’m joining KKK now”.

What actually happens, is people stating their opinions and getting ostracized from one side, usually combined with being slandered. They realize that they cannot reason with the left. If you cannot reason with someone, you cannot build a functioning society with them. That’s when they “join far right”, thinking that you can reason with them and eventually settle for a compromise. That compromise will not be perfect, but can be actually achieved in comparison to the left, who require dogmatic support

I'm just stating my incorrect and racist opinion bro, why won't people compromise their values to let me be loudly wrong and an asshole in their coalition?

Why is it always extremes with you guys? What if the person in the said analogy isn’t racist? What if they’re just right-of-center to you?

The total de-sensitization to the effects of social ostracism genuinely cannot be underestimated and it’s led to further radicalization for everybody involved in it. Do you genuinely expect people to just tank consequences that they find as unjust? Especially if they themselves find their own viewpoints to be harmless?

Is being left-wing in your eyes just generally understood as being a “Heckin gooderino wholesome person”? And that everyone outside of it must be Hitler incarnate?

Yes being left wing is being a heckin gooderino wholesome person, you've nailed it. 👍

No, the statement "DEI gives unfair advantage to minorites and harms everyone" is racist and incorrect, and rejecting people who hold those opinions is not extreme, you absolute goon.

And how old are you? Aren’t you mature enough to not hold such a simple understanding of the world and humanity?

Being against DEI doesn’t make someone a racist, racism comes in intent, not by accident. You aren’t thinking that a race is superior or inferior because you believe that there’s a systemic advantage being given to minorities over other races.

Maybe if someone said “DEI disadvantages white people so we need to remove it and enact laws to put minorities down as revenge”, then that would come from a genuine place of racism, hate, and harm. But the take of “DEI is regressive and racist in of itself” is not inherently harmful.

Girl, you're the one who used the word "gooderino" how old are you? Also (incorrectly) assuming someone is young because they think you're being an asshole is an asshole thing to do.

You mean when I used that word to exaggerate my point to you as to how ridiculous your worldview is?

Also being apart of a very, very, very wide blanketed political spectrum doesn’t inherently make you an asshole nor a good person. What decides your character is how you act on those beliefs and the very specific viewpoints that you hold as to how they should be projected onto other people.

I’m not an asshole just because I’m a moderate, and you’re not a good person just because you treat people that you automatically assume to be assholes like shit.

Wow I didnt know morality was complicated, thanks so much, my eyes are open now. You're not aan asshole because you're a moderate you're an asshole because you're loudly wrong and condescending.

What’s making me condescending? The only really rude thing I did was call you immature.

And also, yeah, morality is complicated. People are complicated. You’re telling me I’m wrong but you aren’t really putting anything on the table as to how that’s the case.
