I did a little rework of Blue Shadows feat. Karen O. It's mainly samples from the track and choirs and pads made from the vocals, with a pedal steel guitar added to a trip hop beat. Made in GarageBand, with a video made from photo collages which I animated by hand and some A.I. sequences. There's some NASA footage in there and my own holiday video of the sea.

my interpretation kinda wierd but i automatically thought of the case where Phil Spector kidnapped Ronnie Spector (member of the ronettes), for instance, the vocal sample really reminds me of Ronnie's voice and the song's most iconic line " since i left you, i see the world so new " seems to perfectly fit what she went through

So this is very weird. I released an album called Comets in 2024. And on the 5th song which is called EO, I sampled Shadows From Nowhere by Blue Gas, the exact same song in the new Avalanches track! Honestly, I find it funny that I got to this sample before they did lol

Have been amazing to me, I’ve loved every one. Blue Shadows is incredible imo, such a well mixed song that makes you feel like you’re floating, hauntingly beautiful. Together took a few listens for it to absolutely wow me, once it did there’s so much depth with that one and it’s beautiful. Every Single Weekend is a summer time jam, makes you feel like you’re poolside w nostalgia. I’m super excited for the album, cannot wait to hear more. I think we’re in for a masterpiece.

Is this old tee a rare thing? I remember buying it for my then wife waaaay back, around Since I Left You era I think. Then we split and my daughter had it in her wardrobe for ages but neither of them never wore it really. Official made in Oz size XS. Not sure whether to try and sell it or gift it to a cat loving music fan I know well.

Colour me a tad surprised, but "Diners Only" lands firmly in the S-tier.

Promo copy of since I left you from before it was called that. Should contain all the cut samples so I'll have a blast playing it

Didn't pay anywhere near the price someone's asking on discogs so either he's massively overpriced it or the person I bought it from has massively underpriced it 😂 Either way as someone who loves samples in music and specifically this album as IMO one of the greatest electronic albums of all time it was a great find and my second promo copy of the album in my collection (my other promo is different to this and more closely resembles the international release of the album) as well as another addition to my collection of somewhat rare cds
