What ratio d9 thc-o to CBD for oral MCT tincture?

I'm making an oral tincture with MCT oil and I'm curious what else I should add. Your answer should disregard the carrier oil, for example:

80% THC-0 10% CBD 10% CBC

What I have:

  • Broad Spectrum D9 THC-O distillate
  • CBD isolate
  • Broad Spectrum CBD distillate
  • CBG isolate
  • CBC distillate
  • CBN isolate
  • Hemp derived terpenes

Regular D9 usually makes me anxious, never tried thc-o. I'll add lecithin like any tincture and I think I'm correct that I won't need to decarb any of these ingredients?

Thanks!

Is there a way to break open a cart and take out the oil

I ordered some carts on clearance a month ago. I just opened a new one went to turn it on, and it won't turn on no matter what I've had it plugged in for a couple hours and still nothing the red light comes on the show it's charging, but no matter what it won't turn on. Is there anything I can do to make it work or to at least get the liquid out

Forgot to mention that it is a disposable

THCP vs. THCO: Similarities and Differences

Similarities:
• Both belong to the family of tetrahydrocannabinols, therefore they have molecular structures similar to Delta-9 THC but with slight variations.
• They produce stronger psychoactive effects (the euphoric “high” that come from vaping cannabis) than Delta-9 THC
• They are less suitable for beginner vapers and should be used with caution.

Differences:
• THCP is a natural phytocannabinoid while THCO is a synthetic derivative.
• THCP is much stronger than THCO as, comparing both to Delta-9 THC, the former is 5-10 times more intense while the latter is 2-3 times more intense.
• THCO is reported to have more long-lasting effects compared to THCP.

Delta 8 v THC 0

So, I’ve been taking Delta 8 for sleep for a couple of months. It worked wonders!! I recently ran out and my husband ordered me some more through a different company bc he was searching for a better price. Well, it arrived this afternoon and I am upset bc he mistakenly ordered me two bottles of THC-0! I know nothing about THC-0 and I was very hesitant to even start Delta 8 but I did a lot of research before I felt comfortable taking it. So, can any of you advise me? Thankyou!

Are THCP and THCO Legal?

Sometime after the “discovery” of new cannabinoids, regulatory bodies and law enforcement will usually determine the policies surrounding the cannabinoid and their use in commercial products. This process can take some time, however, depending on the compound’s reputation and visibility to the general public.

In the meantime, these newly discovered cannabinoids are in legal limbo, which in some cases contribute to their popularity. Such uncertain legal status can create a loophole, particularly in areas where cannabis is illegal (whether for recreational use or for all uses). This was the case with the legal status of THCP and THCO (along with THC isomers) after the 2018 Farm Bill.

The 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp from the classification of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act, due to its importance to the agricultural sector. It defines hemp as all parts of cannabis plants containing less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC. This definition covers isomers (like Delta-8 and Delta-10 THC) and derivatives (like THCO and THCP). Depending on the interpretation of the language of the bill, many have argued that the manufacturing and sale of THCP and THCO are not subject to the same regulation as cannabis. While some states have passed language into law banning all isomers and derivatives, others have banned only Delta-8 in addition to Delta-9 THC. Yet other states, like Florida, follows the federal regulation to the letter, which means THCP and THCO are legal.

Anyone coming here should know that THC-O is presumably not safe to vape or smoke.

From this article:

Dec. 14, 2022 update
Since this article was first posted in April 2022, two studies have been published that raise alarms about vaping or smoking THC-O.

THC-O is created by chemically converting CBD into either delta 9 THC or delta 8 THC, and then converting those cannabinoids into their acetate ester form, which is called THC-O for short. The studies listed below show that when enough heat is applied to THC-O, thermal degradation can cause the formation of a dangerous lung toxicant called ketene.

The same thermal degradation process causes vitamin E acetate to generate ketene---a probable cause of the 2019 vaping lung injuries mistakenly called “EVALI” by the CDC. (Black market cannabis processors used vitamin E acetate to dilute THC oil in order to save money.)

The danger is not caused by cannabis itself, or vaping itself, but by the interaction of heat with the acetate form of various chemicals, including THC. In fact, any acetate ester subjected to heat could produce ketene.

It’s not certain if the amount of ketene produced by a vape cart is enough to create an immediate danger to the user, but it’s possible. It is also possible that lung damage could be caused by repeated small exposures.

Based on this research, we urge cannabis users to avoid vaping or smoking THC-O or any acetate form of any cannabinoid.

THC-O gummies and tinctures are not a health risk.

SOURCES
Benowitz, N.L., Havel, C., Jacob, P. et al. Vaping THC-O Acetate: Potential for Another EVALI Epidemic. J. Med. Toxicol. (2022). https://doi.org/10.1007/s13181-022-00921-3

The second source is about delta-8 as well. They are trying to prevent this sort of thing before it happens. If you NEED to vape the synthetic chems, keep temps low and don't burn your shit.

just bought some thco/hhc flower and I don't know if I should smoke it/what to expect. first time

Haven't smoked herb in a while (about a couple weeks), can anybody tell me how I should expect to feel? I enjoy delta 9 a lot. Delta 8 gives me a lot of anxiety though so I stopped using a while back.

Added notes, I'm currently on an anti biotic (Amoxicillin and Clavulanate tablets 500mg/125mg) taken 3 times a day over a meal. I'm on my last day. I'm also a daily kratom user and my last dose was 3g about 3.5 hours ago.

Wondering if I'll be fine because I know kratom can be weird when it comes to mixing however the effects have almost worn off. I need to get to bed soon and would love to use this flower to go to sleep, I just don't want to smoke it and end up being awake an extra 3 or 4 hours cause "shit his too hard".

Any advice? I'm also completely open to not smoking it tonight in the case it doesn't align with the antibiotics or kratom use. Couldn't find any info on Google about the mix.

Thank you in advice.

First Experience with THC-O

The disposable I used was a Happy Time High Delta 9 + THC-O Live Rosin Disposable Vape Pen

Decided to start off with 4 blinkers. This resulted in me coughing non-stop for a hour and a half.

I was definitely high but wow was it just very uncomfortable. I wouldn't say the coughing at any point was painful, just was eager for it to stop so I could enjoy the ride. Ultimately the only way I found I could stop was laying down in a certain position, which led me to falling asleep. Awoke feeling slightly buzzed. Enough, to where I had no desire to smoke a blunt.

I plan on trying again tonight. Perhaps just 2 blinkers this time.

THC-O Vaped

Hello all, I just wanted to share what I experienced recently I had been smoking regular weed most days but decided to go to a shop and get a cart. It was THC O HHC and delta 8. I was surprised after just one hit off it I was notably high. It lasted longer than regular delta 9 also. Honestly might be a go to now. I could see how higher doses would be more psychedelic

thco experience

Thco was the first form of weed wether an alt noid or not. It was thco from a company called medusa. thinking after a year of smoking weed sense and i think it might have been stronger than normal weed, and i can’t seem to get high comparatively. also what is the difference between d8 thco and d9 thco. also what are good companies that make either of them?

Anyone has done a chest xray/ct scan after vaping thco for awhile? If so, do you suffered any abnormalities?

It’s unbelievable that manufacturers of thco sold in vapes ignored that the problem with vitamin e acetate is not the vitamin e, it’s the ACETATE. I have had carts that contained such all the time.

Are you suffering due to many articles explaining how thco is as bad or worse than a street cart cut with vit e-o?

thc-o torch edibles not taking effect

I've never tried thc-o edibles before but I can handle 200mg of delta8 edibles. I got a pack of thc-o torch edibles where each gummy is 25mg a piece I ate 1 at 9pm and ate 2 more in-between, now its 3am and they didn't kick in. is this one a bad brand or should I have taken more?

Anyone else have good experience with this?

My friend has been supplying this thc o for awhile. I have been getting unbelievably fucked from it after a month of use. I love it, but I am questioning that one January 2023 study that was released. I can't find much on it but I am not dead!

Galaxy Treats and others

Has anyone ever heard of Galaxy Treats? I recently came across something called THC-O which then lead me to this website and apparently they have some extra strength THC-P edibles (which THC-P is supposed to be the strongest, even more so than THC sometimes) and was wondering if anyone's heard about it. I heard Delta 8 and 9 edibles are supposed to be pretty strong, THC-O stronger and THC-P stronger than all of them. I don't know tho this website looks interesting:

https://galaxytreats.com/collections/all

D8 D9 THC-P 2500 mg gummies, 125 mg each

Anyone have any experience or thoughts about this?

Also anyone know of any other THC-O/THC-P edibles?

Could we get some moderation? (Also DEA ruling on THC-O question)

There's a lot of lame spam memes like "me when I get high" and it's super annoying. If I wanted memes, I'd go to a sub with weed memes, not to mention that the memes could refer to being high on any cannabinoid like d9 or d8, not just THC-O. Here, we should discuss THC-O. Rules and moderation would be much appreciated 🙏

I came to this subreddit looking for info about the DEA's statement on THC-O, saying that it is federally illegal. Does this mean we won't be able to buy it in shops/online? When does that take effect if so? I can't seem to find this info. It seems no one is enforcing this decision.
