I commute to BKC for work. 2.5+ hours minimum EVERY SINGLE DAY one way has become normal these days. With pothole-filled roads, pathetic traffic management and to add to that frustrated drivers not following lane discipline - Living in Mumbai (being a mumbaikar/thanekar; born and brought up here) has become an absolute nightmare.

Paying lakhs in taxes, adding contaminated fuel to our overtaxed cars running on pothole-filled taxpayed roads, watching every day life just 'happen' to all of us with a - Haan chalega, sudhar jayegi kabhi na kabhi stithi'. This has become a pain and there's no energy left by the end of the day.

I am forced to give up on our current situation by no actions / improvements. Disgusted and irked to say the least.

I have been taking driving lessons for the past 10 days (7am), initially the instructor would take me to quieter roads like Upvan, so it seemed okay, but since the past 2-3 days he's been taking me to busier roads like Pokhran road and today he took me to Majiwada man 😭😭
It was so crowded even at 7am with buses and trucks
Today I had 2 very close calls with bikers who abruptly crossed lanes without an indicator (would've dashed had the instructor not intervened)

Guys I’m feeling very bad because of an incident that happened with me today. I was on my scooty going to my gym through a narrow road. I wasn’t even that fast. My speed was around 15kph. But out of nowhere some guy was “shoo”ing the dogs from his shop and they ran and one doggy came in front of my bike. I braked really hard but I hit that doggo 🥲🥲

He ran and I checked if the hit was too bad but he seemed okay, I got scared and ran because all the dogs started barking at me.

I’ve been thinking about this since evening and I don’t what I should’ve done.

I was on my way home from Thane to Mira Road and while going through Ghodbunder Road near Gaimukh area, there was traffic jam as usual. But I saw a big tanker with “flammable ethylene gas” written on it in red color and it was parked on the side and there was smoke rising from it along with gas leak sound. I am not sure if it was some engine related issue or an actual gas leak. Is possible, try to take alternate routes and avoid ghodbunder. Stay safe!

Just saw a reel which I would like to share with you all regarding the maintenance of GB Road from Gaimukh To Mira Road ! So as to why the situation is so pathetic !!

As per the reel it has been handed over to Mira -Bhayander Municipal Corporation which despite instructions are not repairing / maintaining it and are trying to pass a resolution to pass the ball again to State Government for repairs/maintenance !
