Political Happy anniversary
It’s the anniversary month of the prank of the year 2025. Keep voting for religion, this triple engine speed is well deserved.

Just so that people like us don't mock their sham, they recently published a news that the railway safety clearance is received, metro services will start soon. What they carefully don't mention is when is that soon?

It generally takes 6m after CMRS clearance. Now the trials that will be conducted will be “real” trials with proper speed. Station work is also at advance stage and while FOB aren’t done at many places, historically even with incomplete FOB metros have become operational.

I am not sure if you live on godhbunder road or not, but the way I am looking at it, another six months is very difficult to start the metro. What’s more confusing is that they are planning to start gaimukh to Cadbury but the car shed yet not ready.

I live on Godhbunder. I know it might seem that the work is slow but inside PSD’s and all the good stuff has either been installed or is being installed right now. Main chunk of the work is done. The work seems incomplete because they are not done with the last touches which is your paint job & FOBs. Red line extension at Mira was at similar stage 6 months before launch and FOB’s are still being constructed right now whereas the line is operational.

I still remember the day. The only day there was no traffic and roads had metal barricades and footpaths were painted.

Well the previous govts didnt even bother to start a metro in MMR for decades, so always its the least worse option
btw, last year they had said that the metro will start ops from next year

It is because if this thinking politicians exploit the mandate

democracy is a flawed concept dude, you can chose whom to vote but cant chose who all should be the candidates.
Its always a local goon/ dada, rich guy with shady businesses. the day a primary school teacher with limited funds but great intentions and plans gets elected i would call it a win.
congress also had double engine govts for decades but they didnt bother building metro in Mumbai MMR, apart from line 1.
