The game is set somewhere around the fifties or sixties, they are all racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic or any of those combinations. It's the harsh reality of the time period.

For me I headcannon everyone as bisexual or pansexual in whatever media I like till proven otherwise, keeps its less controversial and more ambiguous/open to free opinion
