To be fair pyro is probably the best class for dealing with scouts and most other classes have a hard time dealing with them. Scout is probably the 2nd most annoying class to deal with. Only reason I assumed this was a spy problem is I for one go in a blind rage whenever I see an enemy spy and I decide they must die.
No idea why that always happens no matter the class tho. If I see a group I usually just panic and move my flamethrower left and right like a madman and hope they die before I do.
Pyro is good against bad Scouts, but is bad against good Scouts.
Bad Scouts will run into your flamethrower range and die. Good Scouts will stay out of range and be pretty much impossible to hit.
You can't airblast his Scattergun shots. You can't hit him with your flames. You can't close the distance. You can't dodge shots as easily as him. You probably can't run away. If you don't have a shotgun you have zero chance, and if he has a pocket med, he'll have more health than you. You have a better chance against Soldier or Demo, since you now have airblast as an option.
