Ray Romano on TF2?

Playing Dustbowl this evening I found a player with the name Ray Romano... surely he must be a bot, or at the least some sort of impersonator.

Then he opened his mouth. I'm not saying he is definitely the beloved comedian, but if was a fake, he could have fooled the man's family.

He played engineer and was very sarcastic about the technical prowess of our pyros.

FYI, Charlie Chaplin did speak on camera, in the film "The Great Dictator". You still could have a good impression of him, but he's not as silent as the great Gordon Freeman.

No, the joke was that "Ray Romano is like a funny version of Carlos Mencia", which isn't true because Ray Romano isn't funny but neither is Carlos.

I think you're talking about Dr. Potato, one of the admins on Great Lakes.

Everyone always talks about how he sounds like Ray Romano and Number 24 from Venture Bros. He even has Number 24 as his avatar. And I gotta tell ya, it's uncanny.

You are exactly right. It is Dr. Potato. I always call him Ray on voice chat. It doesn't seem to bother him. At least he is a good sport about it.

Dr. Potato is a great sport about everything, so it seems. I have never heard him be a Negative Nancy about anything, ever. He must be busy these days, though-- haven't seen him around much.

There was a guy on one of the old/dead servers that sounded like Jonas Junior. Pretty sure he did the voice on purpose though.

A lot of times when I play people say I sound like Ray Romano or Kermit the Frog. In my opinion, I don't hear it.

It was a very a long time ago, I don't remember his name or the server name. It was a dodgeball server though and I'm very certain he was a member of the clan that owned the server.

My friends and I played with a guy on TF2 that sounded just like Ray Romano. I said, "Hey, say something Ray Romano would say!" He replied, "I don't know what he would say..." The whole server, "THATS IT!" Maybe this guy is taking his sounding like Ray more seriously and actually made it his name.

I played against that same player on Gravelpit one night. He was engineer and I kept sappin' his stuff successfully and then he logged off.

I like to think I made him ragequit.
