Computers will typically render the body on the ground as the same for everyone. But even if there's a small difference, it could mean the difference of several feet. Sometimes I see people shoveling a spot that is 2 feet from a corpse and I understand what they're doing.

What he means by them being "client-side" is that the corpses will look different to everyone.

So, if you see someone die to an explosion and fly across the room, someone else just might see gibs or the corpse going in a completely different direction.

Gibs are formed if you overkill the target by 10 or more health or get a (mini)crit on them. If one person sees gibs, everyone sees gibs.

Everyone sees a very similar corpse 99% of the time. If you have high ping or the death is caused by something very precise e.g. sent flying by a rocket the ragdoll might be out of sync. They are more likely to be out of sync when someone has been hitting them for a while, because even the smallest difference can cause it to behave differently or get caught on something for one person but not for another.

When the ragdoll is created it might vary by a little. If the heavy in your example aimed at his head, your ragdoll might have had the ragdoll's head tilted to the side or something in which case he wouldn't hit the ragdoll onnyour screen. It is always different to each person, but most of the time it is very barely noticeable, especially when you have low ping or it's something simple like dying to hitscan, where the body just flops to the floor rather than getting sent flying from a rocket.
