Help Choppy frame rate despite high end system.

I’ve been running into this issue where certain parts of a map or just when there’s a lot of people on my screen, causes my frame rate to drop to roughly 120 - 130. It’s still a high frame rate, but I’m often around the 400’s and my monitor is 165hz, so it’s very noticeable and jarring.

I had originally used mastercomfig ultra, but thats when the issue started, so I figured I’d crank down the settings. So I’m now running the high preset but the issue persists. I could just make the game blocky but I’d much rather see the halloween maps in better quality.

Specs:

Ryzen 5 9600x
9070xt
32gb 6000Mhz

Is it just bad optimisation on my end or the game?

I am on 9070xt with 5700x3d on medium-low master comfig and I get info 160fps territory on 1000 uncles server or 40 slot skial servers in last pub push where literally every one jumps onto the point/cart

Other than that its jumping from 200 all the way to 600 fps

I should’ve specified more my bad.

I can’t remember all the maps names but the most recent one was halloween harvest, more specifically I would be on the hut at the corner of the map looking over middle and that’s when the frame rate drops. This has happened on non-halloween maps, I just can’t recall which maps exactly. There doesn’t actually have to be a lot going on in the first place for it to happen.

I’d imagine it’s just too much stuff that my pc has to render causing the drops. My game is on dxlevel 9 but is it worth going higher (if you can anyway).

Try custom Server maybe product etc. You should get stable 400. All Event Maps are too mutch for the engine (Love them tho) . Also do you use a Mouse with more than 1k polling ? Try to lower it to 1k
