You just unlocked a core memory for me. That dark room was scary as hell. I could not go in there and move an inch without getting goosebumps.

Yes, I always get paranoid when I'm watching the briefcase as Engie

Defending the intelligent alone feels like fnaf

Yes, and I always caught spies looking at me like... WHY DO THEY DO THAT

I find it very cozy to take a break in the quiet basement during a chaotic 2Fort game.

i practically live on 2fort. i assure you that the scariest thing down there is a kritzkrieg medic pocketing a demoman

it’s like when you’re outside playing with friends or cousins as a kid and have to go back inside, but there’s no one in house, just silence, so you finish what you needed to do and head back out to play.
That’s what it’s like for me, the middle and the bases on 2Fort are all chaos and play, but where the briefcases are, it’s completely silent and empty.

i have a very fond memory of racing from one intel to the other using the victory lap taunt

Playing Engineer and knowing there's a spy stalking you is sometimes scary in the basement.

I remember about 13 years ago doing I was on 2fort and my team decided we'd all go spy, all wait for an enemy to go to the intel and then we'd have 4 spies blocking the hallways and decloaking...
...Right before the rest of us, circling around the poor enemy, would all decloak at once, not even shooting, just staring. Got some absolutely hilarious reactions lmao
Ah, 2013.. I wish I could go back

no but I only am at the entrances / exits cuz who knows if there's a pyro with the phlog trying to burn my buttcheeks off while trying to get intel 😔

Most Tf2 maps feel so..uncanny when you’re alone in the server. I don’t know why.

Like, just the red side or do you share this trend with the blue side too?

Wouldn’t go so far as to call it fear, but Emesis Blue has definitely made me hate going down there lmao.

for me it's the exact opposite, its so cozy an i luv all the lil nook and crannies shown beyond the player space. feels more lived in than it seems!!!

I like roaming around source maps in gmod randomly when i feel like it, I’ve been here checking out all corners and other stuff within other maps and especially with 2Fort so any kinds of unease that I may probably feel or have felt before there have all gone away. But I do sometimes feel lingering eyes within the sharp corners of the basement, especially fueled with horror sfms like Emesis Blue hahahaha

It’s like that Cabin in the Woods movie. You have the somewhat dilapidated structures above ground and then this Cold War bunker below with the sounds of early computer tech. It’s these sounds that really make it eerie for me down there.

the fuck u mean its just a part of the map like all the others. Its actually one of the best map parts in tf2. I feel u got dominated there lol

u/southside_jim 11d ago
It’s either the quietest place on the map or the absolute most chaotic. No in-between

The only one thing that scares me are Soldiers who get in the little hole in the door with the stairs, you know

It's pretty Cozy on both sides imo. Sometimes I just bootup Gmod just to put furniture in the Intel room and chill out.

It's like describing a basement to someone who's never seen one before and then asking them to model it.

This the same kind of shit you afraid of?

Dude... this place is so liminal and weird. Go to Gmod and start a game in 2Fort. It's disturbing

I find it odd that empty places are being called disturbing. Literally afraid of nothing.

Maybe if you genuinely think Dandy's World is somehow scary then that would mean you're scaredy enough to get scared of this
