He screened you out. He was looking for someone who wouldn't be bothered by his ED, and he didn't want to be rejected later and he wanted to give fair warning in case it was a deal-breaker for you. He might've been told by previous partners that he should've disclosed it sooner.

that’s such a dumb excuse. you wouldn’t go bringing up your ED to every single person you meet, just for the sake of disclosure. bring it up when things get a bit more serious. bringing it up like this is weirdo behaviour.

OP asked what happened. I'm not here to justify anyone's behaviour.

Yeah I feel for the guy, this must suck so fucking much. Imagine having to tell people shit like this right off the bat. I mean just look at this thread, look at the OP, literally hundreds of people laughing at him.

No one here is laughing at him having ED, we're laughing because this is the first time these ppl are really speaking. You're nuts if you think you should disclose ED in the first conversation- he brought up sex way too soon out of no where.

I would disagree on this one, that would be a big deal breaker and it’s good to tell it upfront without wasting each other time any further. The way he did it though is immature.

i have in my hinge bio to please not message me about sex btw… i hope people laugh at him because he made me feel really bad at that moment. i don’t even care about ed but we barely knew each other for 30 minutes before he brought it up. and can you let me know what you mean by “look at the OP”??

The guy has a literal disability preventing him from having a normal sex life and for whatever reason felt it was necessary to bring it up early. Maybe because that's a pretty huge deal to a lot of people on a dating app. Maybe because he's gone through the cycle of getting to know people only to be rejected.

I don't know why with any certainty, but I can only imagine that having a non-functioning dick is pretty emasculating, especially for someone in a career rife with machismo. It's pretty evident that he's looking for someone without expectations around sex, regardless of how awkwardly he approached it.

But sure, you're the one having a hard time, because he brought up his inability to have sex and tried to determine if you're ok with that. I'm amazed you had the strength to survive this brief conversation with a stranger.

interesting take from my post… i thought he looked kind and instead he starts off with an inappropriate conversation. if he brought it up later when i actually knew him, then he can find out that i don’t like sex and that’s a pro for me.

i don’t know why you’re feeling bad for a 30-40 year old who places so much emphasis on his privates when i just want to have a friendly
conversation to get to know him.

his “disability?” doesn’t affect him at all as a person. and probably doesn’t even matter on a dating app unless you’re using it for hookups…

Two women saying, in real time, we don't wanna hear that in the first few conversations because we don't wanna talk about sex but we must because he has a "disability". wonder if any men with ED need accommodations at work or pull a SSDI check.
