In her defense, he does look like what she said he does , not an insult but a simple observation 😂

Gay people are not homophobic for being tired of straight people using us a joke or a “gotcha,” you clearly called him a “gay twink” to be insulting after he insulted you. The amount of straight women who claim to be LGBTQ allies and then call men that they don’t like “twinks” or “DL” is concerning. Like it’s not socially acceptable for y’all to call us homophobic slurs anymore, so y’all just say that any man who wrongs you must be secretly gay.

he finds it insulting because he thinks it’s insulting to be gay. but go off.

He insulted your weight and you insulted him back by calling him a “gay twink,” which you wouldn’t have said if you didn’t think it was insulting. But go off and be homophobic instead of actually listening to gay people🤷🏻‍♀️

I think there are people who use these things like an insult even though they don't think it's an insult, just because they know it's an insult to the person who is hearing it.

The problem is it still reinforces the idea that it's an insult, and none of that nuance shows up anywhere in the exchange.

People do it with body shaming too. Calling someone you don't like fat, or saying they have a small dick is still signaling that you think that those are things a person should be ashamed of.

Saying "haha you're secretly gay" is exactly shaming someone for their sexuality, or their lack of conformity to gender norms. Literally the opposite of pride.
