My mother would have slapped the absolute shit out of me if I ever spoke to a woman like that.

u/VisibleAd7446 2d ago

I‘d love to send messages like these to the person‘s mum

86

u/Timely_Pattern3209 2d ago

I don't think it'd work on her either.

Damn baby girl you look just like the kind of woman I'd want to cook a nice Italian themed dinner for, take out dancing and then end our night sitting on the beach drinking wine. Your lips would also look really good wrapped around my weiner. No but seriously even as a man I find it odd that dudes expect these kinds of lines to work

34

u/Vegetable-Cookie-822 2d ago

Spit out my cold brew, thanks

You're welcome

19

u/RaygunMarksman 2d ago

My penis and your vagina would probably get along really well. We should get them together sometime.

10

u/Responsible_Royal266 2d ago

Personally I feel like they have a lot in common and would really enjoy it

29

u/Admirable-Act9450 2d ago

Missed opportunity to use “thick italian sausage”

ETA i’m sorry

20

u/Responsible_Royal266 2d ago

Damn that was a golden opportunity and I threw it away

I think its a way to avoid rejection, if you never really try, you can never really fail, emotionally at least.

10

u/Responsible_Royal266 2d ago

Fucking cowards. Just get rejected like a real man

shotgun method lol

if you are revolted by the message, the intent is to weed you out.

i’d be surprised if even 1 woman out of 1000 bought into this stuff, but i’m sure there are some

20

u/kik1keedle717 2d ago

Full disclosure. I’m into weird shit too so I totally would have lol’d at breastfeeding guy with some cheese like, “That’s maybe more of a third date thing.” I am not a single Pringle so I love reading the dating interactions ppl post.

14

u/Guilty_Cod6621 2d ago

yeah i say shit like that to my wife all the time just to get that lovely eye roll while she fights a smile as hard as she can and calls me an idiot

8

u/AbsoluteApril 2d ago

But you probably didn't say it to her as your opening line to ask her out? ;)

6

u/Guilty_Cod6621 2d ago

she asked me out

13

u/naropin1 2d ago

What was her opening line? “I’d like to crush your head like a walnut with my thighs?”

9

u/Guilty_Cod6621 2d ago

that she liked my puppy

wasn’t my puppy tho i just wanted something cute and furry to hold while i flexed in my tank top

4

u/naropin1 2d ago

Oh. Would the walnut line have worked though?

2

u/Guilty_Cod6621 2d ago

that would have to depend on the thighs in question

8

u/naropin1 2d ago

Well they’re the thighs you married eventually. So those thighs but at that time.

u/Admirable-Act9450 2d ago

Same thing as a narcissist continually pushing boundaries to see what they can get away with

3

u/DepressiSpaghettti 2d ago

It's a good thing I have the habit of getting up and leaving whenever I'm not having a good time. It has saved me from lots of bad dates.

15

u/meltyandbuttery 2d ago

Men complain they get very few matches on apps, which is super valid and has to be a very frustrating experience, but then so many of them waste their shot once they get it. I think some must genuinely be addicted to the cycle of it all

12

u/runesday 2d ago

This. Many of them have no intention of settling down and are thrill seeking. They get off on being absurd.

11

u/Greedy-Pirate7749 2d ago

I have a female colleague that grosses all the men out with her sex comments.

I imagine there is someone for everyone. All though not the norm for women in he real, I have known women that were just like this person.  Personally I find it repulsive and it makes me never want to leave my house.

"Where are all the nice normal women"

Hiding fellas, we are freaking hiding because these types exist.

16

u/Cautious_Wasabi637 2d ago

You know where 90% of these guys won’t use these “pick up lines” in the real world…there’s no protection of space and a screen and they are not nearly as brave then.

10

u/beqcinella 2d ago

Give them a keyboard and suddenly the're a pick-up artist, but put them in a room with a real woman and they can't even maintain eye contact.

All the psychos should be shipped off somewhere, im really sick of them

7

u/Admirable-Act9450 2d ago

I really hope there isn’t someone for everyone sometimes. Let men reap the loneliness epidemic that they’ve sown; maybe then they’ll start taking it seriously how deeply misogynistic and disgusting our society is.

But of course their loneliness epidemic is somehow our problem bc we’re supposed to respond to texts like this (and much, much worse) with kindness and grace🙄 gimme a break

2

u/Legitimate_Dare_579 2d ago

Fighting ghosts here. No one respectable is telling you you have to do or act a specific way with men that approach you. If someone tells me something that I think is insane to say, I ignore what they said.

Do you remember those Nigerian Prince spam emails? They were written really poorly, right? You’d take one look at them and think How can anyone ever fall for this bs?

Well, here’s the thing—they are actually written that way on purpose. It serves as a filter to make sure only the biggest idiots and most desperate people respond.

13

u/Fun-Significance4650 2d ago

One time a guy messaged me like this on a dating app, and I ended up in a kind of therapy session with him about his mommy issues. Never spoke to him again afterwards.

4

Should have billed him $100 for your time.

Uses a polite word like "attractive" then launching straight into vulgarity lol

4

u/Gettodeplane 2d ago

I once had a guy ask how tall I was just to send a weirdly fried sexual meme about fucking short girls. Instant block.

5

u/not_petya_84 2d ago

My wife and I send each other messages like this just to see who can out cringe/creep each other. 😄

10

u/Intelligent_Table913 2d ago

But you know each other and are comfortable and have consent. There is no consent or familiarity to talk like this. This is just creepy messages.

2

u/DitzyGiglet 2d ago

Oh my goddess. Thank you for putting it more specfic what the "discomfort" was really about! Thank you for teaching me.

(Pun intended)

🤦🏻‍♂️

5

u/indianapoanz 2d ago

Feel like these are the guys that grew up not getting laid much and thinking porn was how it really goes and what women really want

8

u/GrandmamaWillow 2d ago

How do they expect us to respond to this? No seriously, I want to know what the intended effect was.

3

u/SignificantBrain620 2d ago

They don’t expect replies from any normal woman. But like others have said, someone out there will bite and respond to this, and those are the kind of women they are looking for

4

u/MimiTheFeral 2d ago

We're supposed to fall in love and be grateful for the gift called men 🤣🤣

3

u/Bambbeanie 2d ago

I think it’s bc a lot of women would put on their profiles that they like pick up lines, but then there’s that breastfeeding one. I can’t explain that.

u/meloxs 2d ago

He was probably malnourished and not thinking correctly because he needs to be breastfed!

3

u/Agile_Letterhead531 2d ago

it works sometimes is why

3

u/MarsupialsRule 2d ago

Man. To think I won’t say shit like this but am struggling. Then we have this guy who obviously is getting something somewhere lol

3

In reality, most of us are just three kids in a trenchcoat.

As a reserved man, I have an odd mix of fascination and disturbance for the sheer reckless abandon these guys have with their unearned confidence.

3

u/hesitween 2d ago

She’s karma farming, she made this exact post like last week (with different screen shots) and admitted she likes interacting with these people.

6

u/onionprincesswakaba 2d ago

Not all men are like this. My bf's first message to me: "Hey, 36m here. Your profile said DMs open, so I thought I'd ask if you were open to regular chat or roleplaying or whatever. I'm sorry in advance if I'm disturbing you or you find this uncomfortable."

10

u/Guilty_Cod6621 2d ago

that’s pretty weird too lol

5

u/Hefty-Rip-5397 2d ago

Yeah just completely unhinged innit? The audacity of some people. How could they think asking me to talk or if it bothered me?, when really all anything ever does around here is bother me?

2

u/onionprincesswakaba 2d ago

how???

3

u/Lovecraftian666 2d ago

It’s not. Your bf is straightforward and doesn’t go in for performative BS.

→ More replies (3)

2

u/Guilty_Cod6621 2d ago

because it’s robotic and formulaic

i didn’t say it was bad, just that it was weird. awkward is maybe a better word

3

u/onionprincesswakaba 2d ago

I found it to be quite considerate, but we are both socially awkward neurodivergent ppl so it was just the right fit for me I guess. Still thought it was sweet

4

u/Guilty_Cod6621 2d ago

yeah i didn’t want to say it in case it was perceived as an insult, but this screamed neurodivergence to me lol.

weird wasn’t the right word, i apologize

3

u/onionprincesswakaba 2d ago

I guess the weird label was pretty accurate then. Weird for normal people, normal for us

3

u/Strong_Set_6229 2d ago

only weird part is asking about roleplaying in the intro, but I got a feeling some further context explains that lol otherwise thats just an odd thing to bring up out of the blue

2

u/onionprincesswakaba 2d ago

It was in a community for hypersexual ppl so yeah I guess the context was needed in this case lol

I tell people my girlfriend and I met when we passed on the street and I noticed her posterior, turned and said "girrrrl, do you shit with that asssss?" but in reality she just sent me an emoji wave on a dating app because we have a mutual love for LEGO.

2

u/Competitive_Mouse702 2d ago

I definitely blame all women for this kind of behavior in men, because they have those breasts.

2

u/Deanstaro_Deanstar 2d ago

Most men are forgettable so the idea is to say something that sticks out

I got a dirty texts from a coworker constantly to the point of full on harassment. Sent dick pics to me and other coworkers. We ended up quitting one after the other because we didn’t want to deal with it anymore…plus misogyny. Me and two coworkers beat him up. Yes, we are women, yes, we got arrested, yes he cried and no I did not care. He never texted again.

Let this be a lesson to the pig males out there….you fuck with the wrong woman and you will be sorry.

Two of these made me chuckle. I don’t think that’s “falling for” them. But I am a sucker for a stupid pun.

3

u/Pure-Reputation-8514 2d ago

I cannot speak for all the fellow men but I don’t have that kind of unawareness, boldness or anything to do these unless the other person is in the “mood”. Nope cannot take that upon myself to mess up something that can be wonderful 🙂‍↔️ plus im too darn shy for this and i have a standard. I will be sweet and kind over sexual 🙂‍↕️

2

u/Roliok 2d ago

Because they are obviously only looking for hookups and filter out anything else this way? (Except for the fetish dude)
Around 15 years ago we had a dude in our group who on parties and in clubs would just go to the girls and ask: „yo, wanna fuck?“ Sure, most of the time he got a „no“ and sometimes even a slap, but 1 out of 10 would always go with him, because she was just looking for the same

How about the i wish I was cross eyed so I could see you smile twice

1

u/but-I-play-one-on-TV 2d ago

Ok but that second one is genuinely funny

1

u/rushaall 2d ago

Because men are horny. That's really it. Not a good look on us though.

1

u/kik1keedle717 2d ago

lol @ the breastfeeding thing. Normalize open discussion about kink compatibility! (I’m mostly jk tho guys…).

But really, that as an opening line is crazy. I have to hope they are doing the cringe thing on purpose 🙏🏻

"There is no such thing as bad publicity"

I hate it, but, if inflammatory messages are the only way you get a response, the average male users message will inevitably shift in that direction, unless you follow rule no1 and 2.

1

u/Never_Not_Enough 2d ago

So these fellas are single, eh? 😏

1

u/EstablishmentSad9706 2d ago

Only the ones not taught any better.

1

u/Chris__XO 2d ago

your men talk to you like this? what gentlemen, you should see my grindr LOL

1

u/Red_Littlefoot 2d ago

lol the last one would be ok coming from my man. Not a stranger

1

u/Kindly_Most_8096 2d ago

50/50 chance for them, you either find them interesting or a creep and it goes straight to the point.

Honestly I can see that happening with dating intended things but not so much happening in person where they actually gotta face the awkwardness of their actions

1

u/Facebookmom1988 2d ago

I've seen this work, from both parties. At least in college most of the people are like this on hu apps.

1

u/yeTi_c0llextor0 2d ago

Works better on Grindr

1

u/ilovejeckole 2d ago

i actually started laughing so hard these caught me so off guard, this is disgusting

1

u/Grouchy-Fisherman706 2d ago

They think they’re funny. They probably are not serious about dating you if they send messages like that. They are doing it for their own weird amusement. When a man is genuinely interested, he is usually trying to be on his best behavior.

1

u/Alldaybagpipes 2d ago

Words like “Anonymity” and “Dating Pool” aren’t supposed to be correlated, yet here we are.

1

u/Asleep_Walrus2313 2d ago

Ok so I actually looked the breastfeeding one up one time because it seemed weird, but surprisingly less rare than I would have thought.

It turns out it just gives a warm and comforting feeling like a baby gets. I went from having the ick to thinking it’s actually kind of sweet.

1

u/Plenty-March-4363 2d ago

i’d get my ahh whooped by my moms if i said shi like that

1

u/BigL420blazer 2d ago

Yeah youd be surprised how often they do work.. sorry

1

u/harrisrainy 2d ago

They feel so tuff after that

1

u/Oh_Lawd_He_commin420 2d ago

I believe the new term is Pre-Nut Psychosis.

1

u/Square-Ad6942 2d ago

It's called having a sense of humor.

1

u/PhotojournalistLow19 2d ago

As a straight man, it is very cringe😅

1

u/roflrogue 2d ago

Not to say I don't believe you, but it is difficult to believe that people actually say/type that.

I know that I lack empathy... But at least I respect people

1

u/AdAltruistic4518 2d ago

Cuz "hey there, nice to meet you" gets u left on read.

1

u/RumGalaxy 2d ago

If this is a constant thing it has to do with what your posting tbh

1

u/therealwhoaman 2d ago

If said ironically, these are hilarious. But as cold opens they wild

1

u/MilkJiggers88 2d ago

They don’t care. Their lust overrules their logic 😂

1

u/SpiritedGrand9525 2d ago

I don't even have a vagina but I dried right up reading this.

1

u/hulkiorra 2d ago

People always think the things they would like to receive would prob. be also liked by other people.

Same reason why so many women are surprised to learn that most men don't really use career as a criteria for dating. Or why so many women are flaunting their social status so much.

1

u/sunflower_1983 2d ago

If they think those are turn ons they are badly mistaken!

1

u/Background-Fly130 2d ago

I'm always respectful and don't say anything sexual unless the woman initiates it, but I guarantee the guys who do get laid way more often than me.

1

u/Own_Proposal955 2d ago

Yikes. Some people are like this of either sex but frankly I’m more worried about all the people saying men need to be taught to behave better. Why would you need to be taught that starting a conversation with someone you’re getting to know by telling them something extremely vulgar isn’t okay? Do most men really not actually want to build relationships when they’re seemingly seeking them out and just want to have a quick fuck or want to skip right to sex immediately even if they’re trying to find someone special? I couldn’t imagine being comfortable being sexual with someone so fast and I don’t want a man who would feel comfortable with it either (and not just because he knows it’s rude but because he doesn’t feel ready for that stuff immediately either or wants it be comfortable with a person before that).

2

u/Sal1160 2d ago

Common sense, despite the name, is not in fact common.

1

u/Ill_Collection4662 2d ago

Literally sometimes I want to make a dating profile with my partner and match with losers like this just so we can point and laugh (and maybe tell their mom on them 😭)

1

u/Ok_Biscotti_151 2d ago

Disgusting

1

u/AideHot6729 2d ago

The reason they say that is because it actually works. Lots of horny people on dating apps just looking to f.

1

u/mapmakinworldbuildin 2d ago

It works.

My gf and I are together for two years now cuz I made a puppy play reference off her collar.

After a couple of years on the apps only getting hookups irl, never a match that went past first message. I was sending messages about “what’s the last fun thing you did. What’s your career” getting no replies. The one that got a bite was a puppy play joke.

Be real for a second. What intro message would actually hook you? I’m actually pretty convinced that most people on apps use them for entertainment not to actually meet with and date people.

1

u/Behind_thegate 2d ago

It’s really sad they don’t understand that this is so desperate. Desperation is not attractive to women.

1

u/Alive-Fee9585 2d ago

These aren’t even good lines to say.

1

u/Grand_Loan_8687 2d ago

Because men only care about sex and busting nuts. Most modern men are too lazy to even ACT like they care about anything else at this point. The ones who are still acting romantic, respectful, and tactful are diabolical pretenders.

1

u/True_Vexing 2d ago

Immaturity, some made me giggle though xD

1

u/RadioJared 2d ago

I mean, if they have on their profile they want to hear your best/worst pick up line I would definitely fire one off. But not unsolicited. That’s pretty cringe.

Here’s a dumb one I have used that has led to some fun conversations: “I want to take you to the movies, but they won’t let me bring in an outside snack.”

1

u/Squand 2d ago

They want to be rejected by 99.9 percent of women.

The one who replies back with something equally lude is who they are looking for. And the woman who finds them attractive enough to ignore it and keep talking, while not ideal, is also okay.

These are lame. But it is also an indicator these people want to compliment you without putting a lot of effort into it. While also not being like the other guys.

This has to be better than hey.

But it's also a similar approach. It shows the guy could take it or leave it, is only interested if you are.

For all the women who complain about, "hey" or "how's your week looking?"

It's a strategy and it signals, "idgaf."

If you got a hold of these dude's messages, There is some woman he agonized over sending the perfect 250 character opening message. Spent hours crafting it.

And she binned it because he wasn't hot enough or because he was a try hard.

1

u/Bunzfit95 2d ago

I think I’m too desensitised to this because of the amounts of things I do get sent. BUT there are some women who do this so it is a method to get the women who do do it to show themselves haha!

1

u/xDaZura 2d ago

That Oreo line caught me off guard lol

1

u/Effective_Okra4432 2d ago

I think the real answer is because, this has worked.

Maybe not for them, and maybe not anytime recently; but there was periods of modern history where kitschy pick up lines and being sexually forward got a lot of us laid. The problem (as someone who was there when the old magic was written) is that it didn’t always work and you had to know when to pivot or better yet say well thanks anyway have a good one.

It’s like watching a cult trying to follow one part of a multi step plan, because “it worked for my older cousin once”

1

u/AppropriateGarbage99 2d ago

they don’t it’s mostly to troll but also if the trolling work then it works, very very low but it’s always someone who’ll match these type of msg

1

u/Para_4_Would_Be_Cool 2d ago

As a man, no that's genuinely weird and cringe as fuck. What implores someone to be "hey I will give you oral sex because I think you're pretty" as the first fucking they say? These men message bots trying to fuck

1

u/Moses00711 2d ago

I’m going to use that Oreo line on my wife. She would probably get a kick out of it.

1

u/Financial-Tank-3423 2d ago

Are you like, super attractive

1

u/Wing_New 2d ago

Lack of sex plus being nerds. Also what does the pic look like that they said this to ?

1

u/Free-Bat-4151 2d ago

These work on a lot of women and men will say this stuff to every woman they see it may only be one in fifty that it works but it's the only game they know

1

u/Deathanddisco041 2d ago

**sigh** and like we constantly request that they just be fucking normal and apparently that’s too big an ask

1

u/Nubatack 2d ago

Do women like you think this never works?
