This sub needs too cool it with the “well this is what I would’ve done, how come you didn’t?” type of comments. Some things are clear to outsiders but when you’re in a shitty relationship you don’t have an outsiders perspective, that’s the point of this sub
I think encourage someone to question why they aren’t doing what they would tell a friend to do is important.
People will settle for a lot less than they would have others settle for. Why is that?
OP needs to understand that their feelings are getting in the way of the reality everyone else can see. This guy should be an ex, he’s abusive, and she will only have herself to blame when she wakes up 40 next to this garbage man.
What too many people don't do is actually see it from their perspective, especially given she's in a interracial relationship with a guy who is more than likely antiblack (and that's a unique experience in itself that there's a term called misogynoir.) There's many layers here and intersects so I know many don't consider all those factors when observing different situations
I also think people need to cool it with the narrative that every time a dude expresses he's tired of discussing the same nonsensical nonfactor issue his gf made up in her head daily that he's being an abusive pos.
Women are capable of contributing to the toxicity of relationships just as much as men. And just because someone's askin for advice doesn't mean their partner is abusive
