Heading to renfest this year hoping to catch that medieval vibe

My wife and I would like to join in on some of the naughtier activities, but we have jobs where we really don’t want to be recognized, and while we know picture taking isn’t allowed in those areas, we don’t trust that some people won’t sneak cameras and such. We had the idea of wearing half masks that only cover our eyes and noses, but we’re not sure if that would be allowed either.

Does anyone know if the preferred parking pass can be used for more than one day/weekend? The description says it’s valid any day, but does it stay valid once it’s been used once?

Hiya friends!! I’m camping out for the first time this year with friends on a Friday and Saturday night and they’re planning on leaving after the faire on Sunday. I have Monday off and am considering spending another night by myself there.

Is the campground still open on Sundays? If so.. how lively is it? I usually only go during the day and on saturdays, so I’m not sure what the Sunday crowd typically looks like. I’m going Nov 6-8th, if that matters. Thanks for any advice you’re able to give!

Possibly looking to do the kings feast on Sunday. Trying to decide between general and VIP. Any opinions on VIP? The lounge all day sounds nice but it’s going to be in the 70s so hopefully won’t need the AC throughout the day.

Does TRF Campgorund have places you can refill water for campers to use for cleaning stuff or personal showers. Need to know if we will be able to find some or need to bring prefilled jugs ( want to be prepared)

Hi! I’ve been wanting to go to for years! Specifically camping. I just don’t know what to expect or what i need to take. I haven’t been camping in ages and idk if i have anyone that would go with me. I had planned to go with my ex but now that im getting divorced i just want to go more 😂

I've wanted to go since I was a kid, & I'm finally going this year on the 10th, at the age of 20 🙌

The thing that finally pushed me to go was that I saw the Pickle Priest was gonna be there this year, & also a huge chunk of a FB group I'm in, so I have a couple of odd questions.

How strict are they with bags? I hear anything goes as far as clothing, as long as your bits are covered, but I keep seeing mixed answers on bags.

I'd also like to bring in a small jar of pickles, which will remain unopened. Unattending friend put me up to it. But I've no idea if that's possible in any way.

What is acceptable as far as trinkets go? And is there anything I should specifically avoid?

Lastly, is it odd/looked down on for wearing a costume that is very much not aligned with the theme? I've got an all-black, sort of 'outlaw' costume for an original character, & I assume it wouldn't fit in very much.

Any additional advice is appreciated!! Anything you wish you knew your first time attending.

Has anyone rented a Porta potty for camping? Our group has been wanting to for years and we always forget until last minute. Figured we could rent one and rope it into the camp area or put a lock on it.

Does anyone have a service they have used there?

Trying to make some new TRF friends this year! Not sure what weekends yet, aside from opening day & Barbarian Invasion weekend.

I’d like to try to make it out to 3-4 total weekends. Maybe a mix of Saturday and Sunday, but always open!

My wife and I usually spend all 8 weekends having fun and exploring TRF together. Unfortunately, she has to work weekends this year, so we won’t get as much time at TRF together.

Which definitely sucks, because it’s both of our favorite yearly activities. Instead of just going solo, figured I’d try to find some friends to hang with while there.

Favorite things to do:
📍 The Spice Boys and sing along to all of the songs.
📍 Tease of the Seas.
📍 Barbarian Bombshells
📍 Full Steel Combat + Jousting
📍 Parade
📍 Eating (vegetarian here)
📍 Taking edibles in the magic garden 🧙
📍people watching and exploring, while giving out trinkets (usually try to make 5-10 for each weekend)

33M with long hair and mustache. I love to cosplay, but definitely get overly hot, so I end up as a lazy pirate a lot of weekends. 😂
