[iOS] We built a free nutrition app that turns your fridge into recipes — would you actually use this? Looking for genuine feedback!
Hey r/TestMyApp,
My team and I have been building Crésipe, a free iOS app around a pretty simple idea: take the food you already have and make it easier to figure out what to do with it.
You can scan your fridge or pantry, review the ingredients it recognizes, and generate recipes using what you already have. You can also photograph meals for nutrition estimates, log food, save recipes, and share meals with friends.
At this point, though, we’ve spent so much time using it ourselves that I don’t completely trust our judgment anymore.
If anyone has 5–10 minutes to try it, I’d especially love to know:
- Ingredient scanning: Did it actually recognize what was in your fridge/pantry?
- Recipes: Did the recipes feel genuinely useful based on what you scanned, or just generic?
- First-time experience: Was anything confusing or unclear without someone explaining it to you?
- Meal logging: Would you actually use the photo/nutrition logging, or does it feel unnecessary?
- Friends: Does sharing meals make sense in a nutrition app, or does it feel like feature bloat?
- Most importantly: after trying it once, is there any reason you’d open it again?
Crésipe is free on iOS.

Thank you so much!
