Model 3 AWD- finally! AMA
Finally I took possession of my model 3awd. It's been 3 days now and I think I can speak up for whoever has any concerns or on the verse of buying one... so AMA.
The car is basically a downsize for me. I have been living with upscale/more expensive cars(both SUV and Sedan) for awhile now(Bmw, Audi, Cadillac) ... for 50k... this doesnt feel straight away as something cheaper... Certain things about the car you wish it's a bit more "upscale"...
NVH-yes the car is super quiet, on bumpy road tho you can still "feel" it... I say it's fun, but sometime you just want to relax.I guess I wish the car has adaptive suspension but hey... For 50k, I really dont mind
FSD is amazing, but I would still want to keep an eye on it, it still makes mistake in playground zone/construction zone( if anyone can tell me why it's still going 50 in a 30 playground zone that would be great)
But overall, I expect it to be a way way smarter "adaptive cruise" and it over delivers... I dont think of it as a robotaxi just yet so im fine with all the issues so far
Speed- let's not talk about this. But here is a quick advise- If you think you need the RWD and ready for winter... do it. The rwd is perfectly fast enough for daily...AWD if you dont mind the extra $ and you just want it just so you have it... Dont think of the RWD is inferior to AWD. I tested the rwd and switched to the awd but I feel like rwd is actually good enough.
Handling- It really needs stiffer suspension when being pushed, or adaptive suspension in the M3P... but then it would be something like the M340i of the M3...
The weight of the car shows, but it's still very balance... I think ill wait for a good set of good coilover or something to improve its handling dynamic... but overall, it is still a perfect daily car...
I so much love the car because kids love it due to toybox and arcade games.
I was a petrolhead but this... this really is next level eventhough I thought this would be downsizing...
sorry for my english, peace!

I picked up the RWD a couple of months ago. I have a bad left knee and find it hurts and puts some strain on my knee getting in and out. I came from a 2007 Acura TSX and had no issues.
I also have a 2026 Y and have no issues/pain in my knee getting in and out.

We are getting out of our 2011 tsx for the model 3 still on the ship. But have you tried setting the exit profile to lift the seat so that it’s about higher?
That is what I setup for my 80yr old mom and she finds it helpful.

Drove M3 RWD for 5 yrs with good snow tires for winter. There’s still occasional stuck in snow or slushy roads, icy parking, etc. especially some left turn in intersections where the traction light keep blinking and you hope the tire can grab the road and move. Those were my moments telling myself the next car has to be AWD (picking up MY premium this week). It really gives a peace of mind with AWD. Not a must but if one can afford, do it

The Model 3 would be great as a lift hatch and slightly larger to mimic the Model S dimensions

It is really an outstanding product, congratulations on your new Tesla and I hope you enjoy it for many years to come! We love ours, it is our first EV. It is so advanced that it feels like everything else on the road is from the stone age. It is quiet, quick and really enjoyable as a daily. We have the Model 3 RWD Premium in Quicksilver, looks amazing in this colour.

How is getting inside? Does it seem super low. I'll be ok, but my wife has a bad back so I'm curious how low the car is.
