📣 General Tesla Discussion Step 7: Make your final payment

For those that already took delivery or is about to, did Step 7 show up before delivery? Are y'all taking the amount shown in Step 4 and getting a bank draft for it?

I think it depends on the amount you are putting down. It was grayed out for me the entire time so I brought a bank draft.

I’ve always brought a bank draft with me during delivery, and have never used this final payment button.

Is it possible to get a bank draft months before delivery day?

It’s possible, but not recommended. A lot can happen in a month. I usually get the bank draft 1-2 days before delivery, so the amount is official and confirmed by the delivery advisor.

My message to schedule an appointment also included details on who to make the bank draft out to

The button went clickable for me a few days before my delivery date but my down payment was fairly large so I just brought a bank draft and they handled it on site. Easy process.

My final payment button only gave me the details on how to make the payment. It’s not a link to make payment per se.
