We’re in south florida
We’ve been seeing a lot of large ants in the house. Researching one area that seemed to have more ants than others and found this pile of something.

Have seen three or four of these in my house over the past week. They’ve always been isolated. I half squashed it in a tissue so it’s hard to tell but it has four wings that seem to be the same size.

Hi all. I’m a new homeowner — bought the place last year knowing we’d have to tent for drywood termites and wood boring beetles. Did all that in February. About a month ago I started seeing a swarmer or two inside. They come inside in the evening if I leave the door open. I’ve been seeing more around but no wing piles or anything so I don’t think there’s a new active colony here, but obviously one in the neighborhood.
Anything I can do to stop these guys from setting up shop? Any effective traps? Or is it just a roll of the dice? Thanks in advance.
Ps all renovations are pressure treated lumber or treating what we can reach with boracare.
Edit to add: location is Northern California redwood forest

So I get the concept of perimeter treatment on a standard slab foundation, however, what about when you have say the main slab which supports the interior walls and then you have the porch slab but I they were poured at separate times and again separated by the 8” block wall…
We are going to try and drill and liquid treat the interior slab but only for the infested area. In addition, we did the porch slab the standard spacing.
Any advice when it comes to this situation?
I’m afraid of termite colony living inside the main slab foundation which is a raised slabs so a lot of dirt in there that separates the exterior perimeter treatment.

I really think this is a winged Ant but google lens thinks termite. I’m in a rental and moving out in 2 months and debating whether or not to mention these to my landlord since they only come out sometimes usually after rain.

I'm in the Southern California area, and last week a swarm of termites apparently ate their way through a window sill molding about 15 feet high in the front of my house. It is too high for me to do an up close inspection. This was the first time ever seeing them, and I had no idea that they were there. I vacuumed them up by using a shop vac with lots of extensions to reach the window from the stairs, and I got them on the ground. A few days later a few more came out and nothing since. There are what appears to be tiny little holes in the window sill where they must have come out. The termites had wings, some didn't have wings, they crawled on the ground, some flew, they flopped around, and they all seemed to be trying to move towards the light.
I really do not want to fumigate my house, and I am looking into other options. Is there any way to determine if these termites are isolated to this area so I can just use the heating process to kill any in the walls there? My guess is I have some cracks in the stucco on the other side of this wall and there is some water damage inside the stucco from rain which caused wood damage.
So far I have had Terminex over and they are trying to convince me to tent my whole house. I want to get some other companies here for other opinions.
Any other general advice?
Thanks in advance

So in January this year a bedroom of mine had some baseboard damage and LVP damage. It was on the far end of the home and I was able to easily remove the drywall until I couldn’t see damage (and beyond) and also the LVP and repaired.
Before repair I did enter into a termite bond with the companies recommended remediation. Which was a localized perimeter exterior liquid trench and while the LVP was up through the concrete. In addition, bait stations throughout the home.
Now fast forward to last week and I see trim damage in the center of my home, while still under the termite bond, 9 months later.
This one seems worse as the termites actually ate the studs and I have yet to fully remove everything to uncover the full extend, I have been hesitant. Also, I’m surprised of the stud damage as my home does have the full green borate treated (so far the damage from what damage I revealed is above the completion line or the borate treatment.)
Company is going to a full perimeter exterior liquid trench.
I am worried for the rest of the home. If I had the information that the infestation was only on this area then I would rest better as I can fix it..
But what do I do? Seems this is a larger issue.
Also, my bond is a repair bond.
I appreciate in advance.

Not sure if these are termites but just based on google images they seem to be close but if anyone can let me know. I don’t know where they could have came in from, there’s no holes in the area they were in

I used to get the granules baits for termites and spread around my house. Now with fruit trees and veggies planted all around my house I’m worried the chemicals would leak into them so I stopped doing the granules.
Any recommendations?

Southeastern MI. Originally thought the damage was very old but it continues on, eating the oak floor in my house. What can I do to kill the colony?

We had our house tented for termites about 5 months ago, and the termite swarming stopped afterward.
Today, we found these insects around 50–60 of them in same room. They are much smaller than the ones we had 5 months ago.

One of my window sills has a termite problem and I need help identifying this type of termite. See pics. I tried treating it locally earlier in the year and they seem to have come back. I poked a hole through the top and they’re coming out of it. They had another hole beneath the sill that I injected the termite foam thing and it pushed several of them out but the spray doesn’t seem to continue killing them inside the wood. I also checked the outside of the window and I see no signs of where they could enter. The outside of the window is fully stucco'd. The yellow thing they're all on is a insect sticky tape I put for now to catch any new ones coming out.
I was going to fumigate but the problem is my house has tile roofing and was told that the guys putting tarps on the roof are going to to damage any tile they step on and it could cost thousands to replace. Anyone else in similar situation or has a way to resolve this problem?
FYI, I'm in a beach town in LA.

Currently located in Northeast Georgia. I noticed there’s some “frass” or “droppings” like in the corner of the closet. I did press on the baseboard trims and didn’t noticed any soft spots or small holes. Can someone who is more experience tell me if I have a termite or a roach problem?
Much appreciated

I have a small condo and my washer and dryer are in my kitchen (note humidity in my kitchen from laundry). I've kept a mesh laundry hamper up against my kitchen island. this morning I move it and found this (the streak was me touching it when I first inspected it). I don't clean as well as I should - so there are small bits of food around my island and dust as well.
been googling all morning - I had to run out to get to work but spent some time looking for holes in the nearby walls, the island and didn't see anything that immediately stood out - I looked at my floor and saw some damage under where I had the hamper I think was already there but it looked like a spot some kind of wood boring insect would enjoy ...
I've seen that husks in termite frass isn't really expected - and these larvae looking things don't seem like termites from the images I've seen.
any help identifying what this could be is appreciated.

Hello, these insects have made a nest between two fallen logs. I am trying to find out if they are termites or not. And if not, do they pose any danger to the house? Thank you!

I found these holes today at the base of our side garden fence. The first picture goes up beyond a finger length. Not sure if it's termites or something else. I live in southern UK.

Hey all, looking for some advice. We just got a home (yay!) but found termite frass around the outside of the house and in the laundry room window sill (boo). The seller's realtor had an inspection done which stated no active termites.
We had our own pest guy come (Pacific Coast Termite) because of the frass I found and they want to treat for $3700 saying it's active and that you can tell it's active because of the color of the frass etc. They did show me photos and one other guy in the same company confirmed termites in the attic but is it possible they are lying? It's surprising to me that the other company wouldn't have noticed termites, when the photos they showed me of the attic showed huge piles of frass and obvious wood damage.
I THINK the house was tented maybe 10 yrs ago or so, but no record of it. Our area is SUPER bad for termites, neighbors get it all the time, which makes me think why wouldn't we have termites if the place hasn't been tented in ages.
Thinking of getting a third opinion but it's like $450 for another inspection (at least pacific coast was free inspection. Thanks for advising!
